Fun and easy taste of Waiheke
This was an easy and fun day at the lovely Batch Winery. The hop on hop off bus was easy to use and the drivers very friendly and accommodating. Batch Winery is an extremely beautiful spot looking over the Island and back at the City. The platter was delicious and the service was great.

Beautiful island with great wine
We loved this day trip. Batch winery was amazing, big pours of great wine & the best charcuterie board we have ever had. Unfortunately we went during off season & the island tour busses weren’t running very often. We spent a lot of our day waiting for the bus. Would be nice for the tour operator to include more info with vouchers, such as ferry times, bus info etc.

Underwhelming At Best
It was made evident early on, once they found out we were Wine and Dine, that we were not welcome there! We waited for 12 minutes after being seated for anyone to approach our table. We then received water. There was a large raucous group in the room we were seated in, so I asked to move tables. Excuses were given about why we couldn't. Both drinks were then delivered - though each of us received the drink the other ordered. After a while, the charcuterie board was delivered along with two petit for sixed desserts. After eating, the charcuterie bored was removed from the table and were ignored after that so we left without going a tasting or ordering anything
Response from the operator: Kia ora, Thanks for sharing your recent experience on our Waiheke Wine and Dine lunch in Batch Winery. To enable us to look into this matter further and discuss the situation with the winery, we kindly request that you submit the specific details of your booking through the Contact Us page on our website. We appreciate your understanding and hope that your next travel experience with us will be a more positive one.

Loved it!
Excellent day out. Lunch was so much better than anticipated. Batch Winery is just beautiful Only gripe is that prices were in $US not $NZ which wasn’t noticed until payment was made

Why this scores 52
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Waiheke Wine and Dine - Batch Winery: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Auckland.
How much does Waiheke Wine and Dine - Batch Winery cost?
+
Prices start at $102 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Auckland usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Waiheke Wine and Dine - Batch Winery take?
+
Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Auckland is not rushed.
Is Waiheke Wine and Dine - Batch Winery worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.1/5 across 114 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Auckland, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Waiheke Wine and Dine - Batch Winery?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Waiheke Wine and Dine - Batch Winery suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Waiheke Wine and Dine - Batch Winery?
+
Around 40 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Auckland can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Auckland and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Waiheke Wine and Dine - Batch Winery start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Auckland within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Auckland?
+
On Outty we rank every Auckland experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hobbiton & Waitomo Caves Guided Day Trip from Auckland incl lunch, Hobbiton Movie Set Small Group Tour with Cheeky Kiwi Travel, Hobbiton & Waitomo Glowworm Caves Tour with Lunch from Auckland. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Auckland?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Auckland?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
