    A must visit historic site

What a stunning part of New Zealand. The scenery on the drive from Auckland was beautiful. The Waitangi Treaty Grounds is set in a stunning location. Our guide CC at the Waitangi Treaty Grounds was passionate and great to chat with. We learnt a lot about the Treaty of Waitangi and enjoyed the cultural performance. Our driver and guide Warren who drove us there was excellent.

Small group tour to Waitangi Treaty Gounds - great cultural experience

We went on this one day excursion to the Waitangi Treaty grounds with Auckland and Beyond Group to learn more about the Mauri culture and it did not disappoint. The trip was long but the experience was worth it. The guide was on time and knowledgeable and kept us entertained during the drive. There even were snacks and water on the bus and the free wifi was a bonus. Good trip, good guide and can recommend it.

    Great Tour!

The travel to and from the Waitangi Treaty Grounds gives an overview of the country’s landscape. Aden, the tour driver, was great! He talked about the country’s history and its plants and animals native to the country. The Waitangi Treaty Grounds tour was also great. I learned about the area’s history and the complex role the British played in it.

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. What should I bring or wear?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Auckland?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
