Looking forward to a new adventure next year!
We were a group of 10 with varying ages from 6-76 & everyone enjoyed it! For the Tulum ruins tour, our tour guide Josh, came equipped with a Tablet with photos of what the various buildings, cultural events, etc., would have looked like. The children loved it, brilliant! Josh really kept them engaged, was endlessly patient with their questions & it was the perfect length of tour for them especially. The 6 adults were impressed as well, we found the walking tour relaxing, well organised & informative with beautiful views of the coastline. Next up was the Cenote snorkel at Taak Bi Ha & another huge success. Just stunning. Last was the lunch at a unique jungle restaurant. The food was delicious & again, enjoyed by all. Thanks Josh, it was a memorable event for all of us.

Excellent, professional tour company. What a delightful day we had with them!
Absolute Adventures-Mexico was an absolute pleasure to work with and our tour experience was fantastic! The office responded to our questions on chat very quickly and enabled us to increase our group from 4 to 10 easily. They provided important information so we came prepared with essentials. Arturo, our guide and our driver, Rodrigo, ensured we had a safe trip. Arturo was a #1 guide to Tulum and at the cenote. Lunch was delicious and the Palapa we dined under lovely. We give this tour company top grades and would not hesitate to use them again!
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your thoughtful review of your private tour to Tulum & Cenotes. We’re overjoyed that you had a fantastic day and a wonderful time with our team.

Fantastic half day tour of the Tulum Ruins and Cenotes
Cristina and Omar were fantastic tour guides — knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely friendly. Our group consisted of myself and four friends, and we had an amazing time. One of the best things about booking with Absolute Adventure is the flexibility. You can completely tailor the experience to your preferences. Want to explore the Tulum Ruins followed by snorkeling in one cenote? Two cenotes? Lunch included or not? You even get to choose which cenotes you’d like to visit. And if you’re unsure, you can wait until the morning of your tour to discuss options with your guides — which is exactly what we did. They picked us up right outside our accommodation in a comfortable, air-conditioned van — with working seat belts, which was a nice touch! On the way to the ruins, Cristina asked us a few questions to help choose the best cenotes for our group. The Tulum Ruins tour was smooth and informative. It was such a relief not to worry about entrance fees or logistics — everything was prearranged. Just a heads up: it’s hot and exposed out there. Cristina even gave us a choice between two walking routes — one more scenic but sunny, and the other shadier. We, of course, opted for the shade! After the ruins, we hopped back in the van (where cold water and sodas were waiting for us on ice) and headed to Parque Dos Ojos, home to both Cenote Nic Te Ha and Cenote Taak Bi Ha. Snorkeling in these two very different cenotes was the highlight of our day. Nic Te Ha is open-air, bright and green, filled with lilies and fish — the light reflecting through the water was stunning. In contrast, Taak Bi Ha is an underground cenote with stalactites, stalagmites, and even bats! We also saw divers heading into the cave system, which was super cool. Cristina joined us in the water at Taak Bi Ha, guiding us through the cave and pointing out interesting features along the way. We finished the day with lunch at a jungle-side restaurant near the cenotes. The food was delicious, drinks were available for purchase, and there was even a gift shop with some fun souvenirs. A huge thank you to Cristina, Omar, and Absolute Adventure for an unforgettable day. We absolutely loved it!

Thank you once again for choosing us! We're thrilled that you had an excellent time with our team, and we can't wait to welcome you back for more adventures!

Tulum Sights and Two Cenotes
We had a great time with Christina and Jeremy! Saw the Tulum architectural sites. Christina was a great guide. She knew so much about the plants snd trees. She also did a great job teaching our group about the ruins. We then went to Dos Ojos and Taak bi Ha cenotes. Really amazing. Very different cenotes. Both beautiful. Again Christina was a great guide. Showing us all around the cenotes and teaching us about how they were formed. Great experience. Recommend Absolute, Christina and Jeremy to anyone looking for a private tour
Response from the operator: Thanks a lot for recommending our team! We're glad you had an excellent Tulum ruins Cenote tour. Come back soon for more adventures!

Why this scores 87
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
VIP Tulum Ruins Private Tour with Snorkeling in Stunning Cenote: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Playa del Carmen.
How much does VIP Tulum Ruins Private Tour with Snorkeling in Stunning Cenote cost?
+
Prices start at $35 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Playa del Carmen usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does VIP Tulum Ruins Private Tour with Snorkeling in Stunning Cenote take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Playa del Carmen is not rushed.
Is VIP Tulum Ruins Private Tour with Snorkeling in Stunning Cenote worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 87 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 108 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Playa del Carmen, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule VIP Tulum Ruins Private Tour with Snorkeling in Stunning Cenote?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is VIP Tulum Ruins Private Tour with Snorkeling in Stunning Cenote suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book VIP Tulum Ruins Private Tour with Snorkeling in Stunning Cenote?
+
Around 38 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Playa del Carmen can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Playa del Carmen and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does VIP Tulum Ruins Private Tour with Snorkeling in Stunning Cenote start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Playa del Carmen within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Playa del Carmen?
+
On Outty we rank every Playa del Carmen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include VIP Chichen Itza Private Tour, VIP Tulum Private Tour, Chichen Itza Private Tour VIP. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Playa del Carmen?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Playa del Carmen?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
