Great private tour to swim with turtles and see two cenote

Juan was an amazing tour guide. Took us to places that were not overcrowded with people and was in very insightful and knowledgeable and we all had a lot of fun The car was big and clean with air-conditioning which made going to the Tucson Notte’s and the turtle experience even nicer. Highly recommend!

Fantastic Addition to Our Honeymoon Trip!

Phenomenal experience for our honeymoon trip! Having been on tours with big groups, I'll tell anyone that the extra money for a private excursion is almost always worth it, and it held very true for us today. Overall the experience was well-paced and fantastic! My wife and I loved swimming with the turtles at Akumal and I couldn't get enough of the undergroumd cenote. Our guide, Heriberto, was very friendly and knowledgeable, and did much to make us feel welcome and unhurried. The early pickup time was well worth it as we missed all the big crowds. Overall the whole trip was about 6 hours start to finish. Highly recommend this excursion to anyone visiting the area!

Our guide was outstanding. From pick up until after drop off. Miguel was so knowledgeable about the area and cenotes.

My Birthday experience was perfect . Miguel our guide was amazing, friendly and so knowledgeable about the local area and the history of the cenotes. Miguel ensured we got the best experience with the turtles and everyone was so good with our Son. Me and my fiancé bit commented how Miguel’s mad my birthday so so special. We saw more than 10 turtles and 1 stingray

A trip of a lifetime!

Juan Manuel was an exceptional guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable on cenotes, diving, historical information and facts all about Mexico and it culture. We saw turtles, rays and so many fish, and were in the water snorkelling for around 1 hour. We then went to cenotes which were stunning. They felt very spiritual and we were blessed to experience it with Juan Manuel. We were given torches and so much information and scientific facts. So much better than others were experiencing. Highly recommend this trip to everyone.

VIP Cenotes & Turtles Private Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Playa del Carmen.

How much does VIP Cenotes & Turtles Private Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $1 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Playa del Carmen usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does VIP Cenotes & Turtles Private Tour take?

+

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Playa del Carmen is not rushed.

Is VIP Cenotes & Turtles Private Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 83 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 70 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Playa del Carmen, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule VIP Cenotes & Turtles Private Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is VIP Cenotes & Turtles Private Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book VIP Cenotes & Turtles Private Tour?

+

Around 25 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Playa del Carmen can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Playa del Carmen and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does VIP Cenotes & Turtles Private Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Playa del Carmen within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Playa del Carmen?

+

On Outty we rank every Playa del Carmen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include VIP Chichen Itza Private Tour, VIP Tulum Private Tour, Chichen Itza Private Tour VIP. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Playa del Carmen?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Playa del Carmen?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
