Rome before sunrise
This was the second tour we did with Emanuele. The previous tour he suggested that we meet at 5:15 instead of 5:30 in order to capture the blue hour at Spanish Steps. We went to Trevi Fountain (and it was still crowded even at 6 am) for some creative shots of statuary, the sky, people, shops & street activity before going to the Coliseum for sunrise. I came away with not only amazing photos but an expanded knowledge base that will further my skills.
Response from the operator: Hello there, I am sorry but I believe you sent this rview to the wrong person. Cheers, Giulio

Great way to see Rome - highly recommended professional photographer who was happy to share photographic techniques and local knowledge
Response from the operator: Hello Tabitha, I am truly sorry for my very late reply to your very nice and much appreciated five star review. I am truly glad you enjoyed the experience and me guiding through my beautiful town, while advising you on the best ways to photograph it. I hope to see you again some time in the future. Best regards, Giulio

Insightful tour of both Roman history, culture, and photography techniques
I went on this tour with my daughter, who has loved photography for many years. Even though she has a degree in history and a degree in filmmaking, she learned an incredible amount about history and photographic techniques in this tour. It is so interesting to walk around the city at night with someone so familiar with it! Would highly recommended a tour with Giulio
Response from the operator: Good morning Tabitha/Scott, First of all, let me say it was a real pleasure meeting you and your daughter the other night, having the privilege to guide you through the most beautiful and iconic locations of Rome. I am truly glad you all highly appreciated and enjoyed my seven hours journey through space, time, and photography in my hometown, which is rightly called the Eternal City. I am even happier to know that Megan, despite her obvious and well displayed knowledge of religion and visual communication, could acquire new things through the information I shared as we were amiably strolling through alleys, squares, and ancient ruins, breathing their messages and stories from the past. I am sure your daughter well captured those stories thanks in her camera. I would truly appreciate if she could tag RomePhotoFunTours, if she should ever share them on her social media. It would mean a lot to me. I hope I'll see you again in Italy, sometime in the future, maybe for one of the photo tours and workshops I run in another regions of Italy, such as Umbria, Tuscany, Apulia, Venice, and the Dolomites, and even to Slovenia To know more about those, just look for my RomePhotoFunTours.com and ItalyPhotoFunTours.com sites, I wish you all the best, Giulio

Response from the operator: Hello David, Thanks a lot for your very positive and enthusiastic review, I highly appreciate it. Let me add that it was a real pleasure meeting you, having the chance to guide you through the Eternal City, when it gives its best from a photographic point of view. If you should ever come back, please don't hesitate to call me even for longer tours to Tuscany, Puglia, Umbria, or Venice. These tours are customizable to your needs and time availability. If you are going to share on your social media the photos taken during our photo-walk, kindly tag romephotofuntours. Thanks a lot again and best regards, Giulio

Why this scores 69
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Unique Photo Tour and Workshop in Rome Dusk to Dawn: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rome.
How much does Unique Photo Tour and Workshop in Rome Dusk to Dawn cost?
+
Prices start at $250 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rome usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Unique Photo Tour and Workshop in Rome Dusk to Dawn take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rome is not rushed.
Is Unique Photo Tour and Workshop in Rome Dusk to Dawn worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 24 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rome, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Unique Photo Tour and Workshop in Rome Dusk to Dawn?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Unique Photo Tour and Workshop in Rome Dusk to Dawn suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 14. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 7-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Unique Photo Tour and Workshop in Rome Dusk to Dawn?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rome can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rome and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Unique Photo Tour and Workshop in Rome Dusk to Dawn start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rome within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Rome?
+
Rome runs on skip-the-line access. The Colosseum underground, the Vatican before opening, and the catacombs south of the walls all require a licensed operator, and the price gap between the good ones and the rest is smaller than you would expect. We rank by guide credentials, group size and how reliably the promised access actually materialises. On Outty we rank every Rome experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rome Pasta and Tiramisu Class: Ravioli, Fettuccine & Fine Wine 5*, Pasta Making & Wine Tasting with Dinner in Frascati from Rome, Rome: Pizza & Tiramisu or Gelato Class with Flowing Fine Wine 5*. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Rome?
+
April, May, September and October. August is hot and half the city is shut. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Rome?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
