Great workshop led by a knowledgeable local professional photographer
Guilio provided a really good photography experience. He checked in what I wanted to get from the workshop and geared it accordingly. An experienced professional photographer with great knowledge of Rome, how and where to get the best images. Varied areas visited and captured a mixture of street and vista photography. Could never have found the same opportunities independently. Highly recommend
Response from the operator: Good morning Nicola, First of all let me say it was a real pleasure meeting you! Secondly, thanks a lot for your enthusastic and fabulous five-star review. I am very glad you enjoyed the photowalk we had, and that I was able to share with you my knowledge of Rome as well as my expertise in photography. I do hope you collected a good number of beautiful images, and that you are happy with them. Don't forget to contact me in the future, if you want to have photo tours in other regions of Italy, Slovenia, or a photo safari in Tanzania. They are all listed in Rome Photo Fun Tours ws, the one you can see in the card I gave you. Best regards, Giulio

Phenomenal Street Photography Walk
It was a great pleasure walking Rome with Giulio. He showed us the best spots to photograph and gave us valuable tips for better results. Giulio is very experienced and a pleasant person to spend time with. He really went the extra mile for us!
Response from the operator: Dear Frank, Thanks a lot for your very nice review. It is immensely appreciated, especially considering you took many other street photography tours in other cities, and with other true professionals. I am really glad you also had a good time from a personal point of view, and I hope your daughter took some shots she can be proud of. If you have a couple of shots you would like me to take a look at, at maybe post-produce please send them to me, and I will be more than happy to work on them artistically for free. My email is giuliodercole@gmail.com. If you should ever come back to Rome, or other regions of Italy (Tuscany, Umbria, Venice), and you wish to have other photo tours, do not hesitate to contact me. Best regards, Giulio

Favorite Day in Rome -Ever!
Our street photography tour with Giulio D’Ercole in Rome was truly unforgettable. With only a few days in Rome before heading to Puglia, we booked a 4-hour workshop—but it quickly turned into an 8-hour adventure. Having already photographed Rome’s major landmarks on previous trips, we wanted something different, and Giulio immediately understood our preferred street photography style. He guided us beyond the tourist areas into local neighborhoods, offering an authentic and inspiring perspective of the city. Giulio taught us new ways of seeing, composing, and engaging with the streets, all with generosity and enthusiasm. As a delightful bonus, he even introduced us to the best focaccia we’ve ever had. Giulio’s knowledge, passion, and engaging personality made this experience exceptional, and we’re already considering joining one of his week-long photo tours.
Response from the operator: Dear Sharon and John, Thank you so much for this wonderful and very flattering review you wrote about me and my tour. Your satisfaction, the fact I was able to communicate my photography knowledge, and that you could feel my enthusiasm not only for photography in itself but for my job , all those things are extremely important to me. I am also very happy you came out of our workshop with a new perspective on how to take photos, and with improved skills. I am surely looking forward to meeting you again, not only in Rome, but also on my longer tours. Thanks again, best regards... and Happy New Year :-) Giulio

Awesome Street Photography Tour of Rome
Incredible! Had an amazing time with Giulio. He was very knowledgeable about photography and also the history of Rome. He immediately helped me dial in my camera settings. Walking through Rome, we hit many different locations and he was able to show some different prospective on how to photograph them. Additionally, he was able to provide and help demonstrate how to use different techniques to take certain shots. From using shadows, to shooting through ally ways, to generating creative motion blur. He also helped with composition and most of all, showed me how to use light to take more interesting photos. .. All of the new techniques allowed me to take better and more creative photos for the remainder of the trip. As he said "Write with Light". Would recommend to anyone interested in Photography and uping their skills.
Response from the operator: Hello Brian, First of all, I apologize for my late reply, but I am running a twenty-day photography workshop in Northern Italy (Verona, Dolomites, Venice) and Slovenia. Today is the second last day at the Dolomites, and I have been working 10 hours every single day for the past ten days. Secondly.... well, thanks a million for your fantastic five-star review, and the very flattering words you wrote about me and the photo tour/workshop itself. It is always wonderful to see not only the appreciation of my customers shared with others, but also how I was able to pass on my knowledge about photography in ways that inspire people to do more and better. I hope I will see you again in the future.... talking of which, please note that in August 2027, I will conduct a ten-day photo Safari in Tanzania. If you are interested in participating, I can send you the brochure. You can write to me at giuliodercole At G mail dot com. I wish you all the best, and thanks again :-) Giulio

Why this scores 65
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Unique Rome by Day, Street Photography Tour and Workshop: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rome.
How much does Unique Rome by Day, Street Photography Tour and Workshop cost?
+
Prices start at $160 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rome usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Unique Rome by Day, Street Photography Tour and Workshop take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rome is not rushed.
Is Unique Rome by Day, Street Photography Tour and Workshop worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rome, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Unique Rome by Day, Street Photography Tour and Workshop?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Unique Rome by Day, Street Photography Tour and Workshop suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 14. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Unique Rome by Day, Street Photography Tour and Workshop?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rome can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rome and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Unique Rome by Day, Street Photography Tour and Workshop start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rome within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Rome?
+
Rome runs on skip-the-line access. The Colosseum underground, the Vatican before opening, and the catacombs south of the walls all require a licensed operator, and the price gap between the good ones and the rest is smaller than you would expect. We rank by guide credentials, group size and how reliably the promised access actually materialises. On Outty we rank every Rome experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rome Pasta and Tiramisu Class: Ravioli, Fettuccine & Fine Wine 5*, Pasta Making & Wine Tasting with Dinner in Frascati from Rome, Rome: Pizza & Tiramisu or Gelato Class with Flowing Fine Wine 5*. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Rome?
+
April, May, September and October. August is hot and half the city is shut. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Rome?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
