    Amazing photo tour!!!

The night photography tour with Giulio was an excellent way to photograph Rome and learn about the history. He is so knowledgeable after travelling the world and being in this industry for so long, especially around Rome. Not only did he teach us new things about our cameras and framing, but while we walked to each destination he talked about the locations and gave us background information surrounding Rome and its history in those areas. It was a very peaceful experience where we got lots of beautiful photos out of it and learned a lot. Truly a 5 star experience, Giulio knows his stuff!

Response from the operator: Hello Nea and Cole, Thanks a lot for your splendi five star review, I truly appreciate it. I am also very glad you enjoyed the tour so much, not only from a photography point of view, but also for the information about Rome and its history I provided. It is always beautiful to share my knowledge and the love I have for both my work and my hometown. It was a pleasure meeting you, and I hope we'll meet again sometime in the future. Best regards, Giulio

    Giulio‘s knowledge of not...

Giulio‘s knowledge of not only photography but Rome and ancient times made the experience amazing. We enjoyed the city by night. Thank you.

Response from the operator: Hello Samantha, Thanks a lot for your very kind review. I really appreciate it. I do hope to see you again in Rome or other beautiful locations in Italy some time in the future for more equally beautiful photo tours. Cordially, Giulio

    Highly Recommend! Guilio is awesome!

This was a fantastic experience! Guilio was such a gracious host and guide! He was very flexible with some circumstances that were beyond our control and went out of his way to make our experience great. He is very knowledgeable - teaches photography at the college level. Two people in our party came in with a decent amount of photography experience, so Guilio adjusted his interactions and direction to meet their ability level. He provided lots of great historical context and detail to the places we visited and photographed. We got some amazing photographs of some of the most iconic locations in Rome! He even tried to take us to a highly recommended gelato place to cool off after a long, hot evening (it was closed, but he gets an A+ for effort).

Response from the operator: Hello Rachel, First of all let me say it was a pleasure meeting you, your husband and your son. You do have a beautiful family! Secondly, thanks a lot for your fantastic review, and for the terrific words you spent about the quality of my photo tour, and about me as a leading photographer. I truly appreciate them. In case you should ever come to Italy again, please don't forget that I also provide personalized, family friendly photo tours (but they can include also food and wine tastings and other art and culture experience), in various regions of Italy. You can find them checking ItalyPhotoFunTours. All the best to you and to your loved ones, Giulio

    Great way to see Rome

Great experience. Giulio was experienced, knowledgeable and kept great company during the tour. He took me to beautiful places and was flexible to take into account a thunderstorm. Rome is so different at night and really beautiful all lit up.

Response from the operator: Hello Daniel, First of all, let me say it was a pleasure meeting you the other night. Secondly, I am truly glad you enjoyed the tour, my company, and even more that you could take amazing photos such as the ones you already shared with me via WhatsApp. I hope I'll see you again in Italy, sometime in the future, maybe for one of the photo tours and workshops I run in another regions of Italy, such as Umbria, Tuscany, Apulia, Venice, and the Dolomites, and even to Slovenia To know more about those just look for my RomePhotoFunTours and ItalyPhotoFunTours websites. I wish you all the best, Giulio

    Highly recommended, wonderful unique tour

The workshop was wonderful! I got a lot of really good advice on composition, lighting, lots of tips on everything from helpful tips on my camera to taking a great photograph. Giulio was a wonderful guide, providing a lot of history and cultural information as well.

Response from the operator: Hello Stacy, Thanks a lot for your enthusiastic review and for the very kind words you spent. I am truly happy I was able to give you valuable and useful information on the technical and even conceptual art of photography. I am sure those info will serve you well in your next trips and photography adventures. Unique Rome by Night, Photo Tour and Workshop Under the Stars: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rome.

How much does Unique Rome by Night, Photo Tour and Workshop Under the Stars cost?

    +

Prices start at $160 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rome usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Unique Rome by Night, Photo Tour and Workshop Under the Stars take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rome is not rushed.

Is Unique Rome by Night, Photo Tour and Workshop Under the Stars worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 98 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rome, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Unique Rome by Night, Photo Tour and Workshop Under the Stars?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Unique Rome by Night, Photo Tour and Workshop Under the Stars suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Unique Rome by Night, Photo Tour and Workshop Under the Stars?

    +

Around 34 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rome can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rome and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Unique Rome by Night, Photo Tour and Workshop Under the Stars start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rome within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Rome?

    +

Rome runs on skip-the-line access. The Colosseum underground, the Vatican before opening, and the catacombs south of the walls all require a licensed operator, and the price gap between the good ones and the rest is smaller than you would expect. We rank by guide credentials, group size and how reliably the promised access actually materialises. On Outty we rank every Rome experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rome Pasta and Tiramisu Class: Ravioli, Fettuccine & Fine Wine 5*, Pasta Making & Wine Tasting with Dinner in Frascati from Rome, Rome: Pizza & Tiramisu or Gelato Class with Flowing Fine Wine 5*. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Rome?

    +

April, May, September and October. August is hot and half the city is shut. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Rome?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
