What you'll see and do

  1. Castel Sant'Angelo

Castel Sant'Angelo is the ancient Adrian's Mausoleum, which later became the Pope's fortress. The photos will be taken on the Bridge of Angels, right opposite to it.

20 minutes here · Admission not included

  2. St. Peter's Square

The heart of the Vatican city. A fabulous square designed by Bernini, where history, art, religion and culture meet at the step of St. Peter's Basilica.

20 minutes here · Admission not included

  3. Via dei Coronari

One of the most beautiful backstreets of downtown Rome, with plenty of charming corners to take beautiful shots of you.

20 minutes here · Admission not included

  4. Piazza Navona

Once called the good living Room of Rome, where artists, Romans and tourists alike used to have a stroll and an aperitif, this square, beautified by three gorgeous fountains, the central one being Bernini's Fountain of the Four Rivers, and two amazing churches, is the perfect set for a number of gorgeous candid and posed shots.

30 minutes here · Admission not included

  5. Pantheon

The Pantheon, facing Piazza della Rotonda, is, with its beautiful architecture, one of the most amazing and best-preserved ancient buildings of Rome. Here the Greek original structure meets the Romanic style offering a wonderful background for wide shots, while the absolutely fascinating interiors are the perfect location for warm, unique portraits.

30 minutes here · Admission not included

  6. This is a unique and strangely little-visited church. The original, ancient crypt underground, with its walls painted with old Roman frescos, and its mysterious atmosphere, makes a wonderful set for calm, special portraits, with a sort of mystical feel.

20 minutes here · Admission not included

  7. Complex of the Victorian Ala Brasini

This monument, celebrating Vittorio Emanuele II for its unification of Italy, is known by most non-Italians as "The Wedding Cake" and by Romans as "The Type-writer". Despite the funny names, this is yet another, and very different place to take good shots of you, mainly because from its terrace there is a beautiful view over Rome, and the terraces themselves are quite a set.

20 minutes here · Admission not included

  8. Via dei Fori Imperiali

This is one of the most scenic walks of Rome since it goes along the ancient Roman Forums, with its ruins on one side the Trajan markets on the opposite side and the Colosseum in the background. A great location to take all sorts of posed and candid shots embedded in history and past glory.

Worth every penny. I was so sad to leave Giulio !! But he is now with us forever.

Ah Giulio. I don’t want where to start with this man. He gave my mother and I an experience we will remember for the rest of our lives. First off photography is a small competency he has. He has an extremely interesting background (I’ll keep it as a surprise), and very knowledgeable of Rome’s history. I suspect not just Rome or Italy. He was very engaging and energetic even though his knee and hip were injured, it didn’t affect his output one bit, and that’s a great work ethic for you. He knew just what to say to my mother to bring out her laughs. Clearly Giulio is a warm person with a good heart. After the experience ended, we received the photos a day or two later and my were they great. Across the different historical sites, he took photos with different styles and I loved the different flavors of editing he gave. The photos we took are forever and I would do the session again and again with the people dear to me. Great photographer and experience overall !!

Response from the operator: Dear Ahmed, thanks a lot for your very enthusiastic and incredibly flattering review. I appreciate every single word you wrote, especially because it clearly comes from the heart, in a candid flow of good compliments that left some room for lost in translations, when you wrote "I don’t want where to start with this man" (I guess you meant "I don't know where to start" ... LOL ) Or, I imagine that you meant that my photography knowledge is only one asset among many others, and not that my photography knowledge is small LOL LOL LOL I truly love those candid phrases, because they show how passionately you wrote the review. And what should I say on my side? Please allow me to simply state that it was a great pleasure for me to meet you and your very elegant and classy mother, as well as it was a pleasure to photograph you both in the most scenic locations of my beautiful town, the Eternal City. I just hope that the photos I took of you, will be just as eternal, at least in your hearts and in your family album. On a different note, and regarding other potential future photo tours, as I told you during our photo shoot, starting in September this year I will also be offering multi-day tours, in Rome and Latium, Umbria, Tuscany, and Apulia, three amazing and very photogenic regions in the center and south Italy. That would be a fantastic opportunity for you and your family to be photographed in the most amazing landscapes, medieval and Renaissance villages of Central and Southern Italy. These tours will be fully customized holistic multiday journeys, including photo shoots, and other full-immersion experiences in Italian food, art, and culture, including visits to vineyards, and Master Artisans' workshops. Such tours will be tailored around your wishes, time availability, and budget. If you should be interested in them, I would be more than happy to discuss the different options and itineraries together, as much as the dates that could be tailored to your own availability. In the meantime, thanks again for your wonderful 5-star review and best regards, Giulio PS Please spread the word about my tours with your photographer friends :-)

Fantastic shots with a cool guy

Giulio is a fantastic, genuine and friendly man, I am ecstatic I chose him to show us Rome and take our photos for my "surprise" proposal to my now fiancé. The pictures were great, and the editing made us happy. We received our photos in a timely fashion and were happy with the results. Pro tip: wear comfy shoes, those cobblestones are killer after several hours shooting.

Response from the operator: Hello Martin, Thanks a lot for your very kind and enthusiastic review. Having the honor (...and the responsibility) to photograph and somehow "document" one of the most important steps of your life was a great pleasure for me. I am super happy you liked the photos I shot for you along our walk through the Eternal City. On a personal note, I would like to add that you guys are a terrific couple, and I wish you all the best and a long, serene, and beautiful life together. Sincerely, Giulio

Made a more Personal visit

Having been to Rome previously only to get home and go through the pictures to either not see either of us or just one but never both together we decided to take this tour it was a perfect decision!! first our guide Giulio was more than accommodating in that during our scheduled time it was raining after much communication we settled on a time when the weather was going to cooperate he picked us up at our hotel not something originally planned and off we went our tour through Rome was excellent visiting many of the normal sights St Peter's etc. but also some areas we would have never seen all the while having a great time with Giulio. In the end we were presented with 70 pictures of us during our visit some of course were planned pictures but to our surprise there were many that were "impromptu surprises" that we weren't aware were taken. If you are looking for a way to truly have pictures to remember you Roman holiday we would highly recommend this tour. thank you Giulio for the memories !

Response from the operator: Dear Jim, Thanks a lot for your very kind review. I am very glad you had a good time while walking throughout the eternal city as I was taking pictures of you and your gracious wife. So did I :-) I am even happier that the 70 photos you received will stay with you as a very appreciated work done and a precious memory to keep. FYI, and for future references, please be aware that I have just finished fine-tuning an amazing one week photo, wine, and food tour in Tuscany, both for individuals, families and small groups, up to max 6 people. It will be an incredible feast of landscapes, medieval villages, beauty, and art. It will soon be up on my website and here on Trip Advisor. keep it in mind :-) Best regards, Giulio

Great memories in Rome thanks to Giulio's pictures

Such an amazing photoshoot in St. Peter, thanks to Giulio! He's very professional and loves his work. His pictures in St. Peter catch our memories at the very best. He's a great experience in travelling photography and he knows exactly how to shoot the perfect instant. Sara

Response from the operator: Dear Sara, Thanks a lot for your very kind review. I am glad that through my work I could give you a long-lasting memory of a very personal, emotional and important moment of your life. Your words actually summarize and perfectly capture the very essence of my entire approach to photography as well as the way I offer it to my dear clients. Best regards, Giulio

Capturing moment during Baptism ceremony at St. Peter Basilica

So we decided to bring our 4 months old baby to Vatican to be baptised. My family travelling from Asia, his family from Milano and ourselves from Africa... quite hectic to organise everything and I have never been a fan of having a professional photographer (even for our wedding)... yet that Saturday morning, when we walked acrossed St Peter Square, we stumbled upon Giulio, he was shooting with someone else, we exchanged conversations and I was impressed with his portfolio, especial his work in Africa so when my sister proposed the idea of requesting him to shoot at my daughter’s baptismal next Sunday, I didn’t hesitate and I’m convinced that it was meant to be. He was responsive, Super interesting to converse with and he worked whole heartedly, we weren’t restricted by number of hours or number of photos... he made everything just about us, and nothing else. Thank you for the beautiful moments captured and wish we can work together again somewhere somehow.

Response from the operator: Dear Anna, as you wrote.... it was meant to be! The meeting with your sister and family that Saturday morning was so out of nowhere, but it led to one of the most amazing photographic experience I ever had in Rome: shooting a Baptism in St. Peter's church!!!! Wow!!!! I was so grateful for the opportunity given that no wonder my personal and professional dedication was all geared to give you the best service possible! Plus, it was not only a Baptism in the most important Basilika of the Christian world, but it was the one of a child, fruit of a meeting of cultures that through love have been able to overcome prejudices and obstacles. You and Claudio are a beautiful couple and so is your daughter. I wish you all the best and all the happiness possible. I hope to see you again in Rome or in your country, being it Namibia, Vietnam or wherever you will be :-) Giulio

Unique Professional Photoshoot Be the Model of Your Roman Holiday: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rome.

How much does Unique Professional Photoshoot Be the Model of Your Roman Holiday cost?

+

Prices start at $250 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rome usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Unique Professional Photoshoot Be the Model of Your Roman Holiday take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rome is not rushed.

Is Unique Professional Photoshoot Be the Model of Your Roman Holiday worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rome, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Unique Professional Photoshoot Be the Model of Your Roman Holiday?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Unique Professional Photoshoot Be the Model of Your Roman Holiday suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 12. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Unique Professional Photoshoot Be the Model of Your Roman Holiday?

+

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rome can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rome and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Unique Professional Photoshoot Be the Model of Your Roman Holiday start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rome within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Rome?

+

Rome runs on skip-the-line access. The Colosseum underground, the Vatican before opening, and the catacombs south of the walls all require a licensed operator, and the price gap between the good ones and the rest is smaller than you would expect. We rank by guide credentials, group size and how reliably the promised access actually materialises. On Outty we rank every Rome experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rome Pasta and Tiramisu Class: Ravioli, Fettuccine & Fine Wine 5*, Pasta Making & Wine Tasting with Dinner in Frascati from Rome, Rome: Pizza & Tiramisu or Gelato Class with Flowing Fine Wine 5*. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Rome?

+

April, May, September and October. August is hot and half the city is shut. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Rome?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
