    Shoddy treatment by Viator

I booked and received paid for tickets for an Everglades boat trip to see Manatees, Dolphins and Birds. Tickets were sent by email to confirm our place on the tour. We drove over 2 hours and once at the destination waited for the boat trip to begin. When the Captain met us he said he had no details of us and called his company as the boat was full. Our day was wasted and we were left out of pocket for fuel we paid for the journey there and back . The trip was 240 miles and took over 5 hours of our time . There was no recognition our wasted time and that we were left out of pocket.

Scenery and guide Gerry were amazing. Boat seemed dated and was uncovered. Parking is confusing. Doesn’t seem run well.

Capt Gerry was full of knowledge and very entertaining! He took us places where no one else was and showed us an amazing assortment of birds and some dolphins! He taught us about the park, the wildlife, the local area and told us numerous stories about the area and its people. The boat was a bit run down, does not have any covering for shade and was a bit cramped with all the gear in it. I would think some sort of cover in 100 degree heat would be essential. Not too bad since we went in the morning but I couldn’t imagine going out later, longer or later into the summer.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your honest review. We are having some work done to our Bimini right now and we are sorry you had to endure the summer heat without it! Thank you coming out with us and we hope to have you back out when our Bimini is back up and functioning!

    Wonderful Time

We had a blast. It wad a 4 hour drive round trip to do this excursion and it was well worth it. Don our boat captain was very knowledgeable. We saw many types of birds, dolphins wave riding, jumping fish, and mush more. We definitely recommend it.

Response from the operator: Glad you all had a wonderful time with captain Don! He truly loves what he does and it shows. Thank you all for the recommendation and we hope to see you all back here soon!

Prices start at $110 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Everglades National Park usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Two-Hour Everglades Dolphin, Manatee and Birding Boat Tour take?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 162 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Everglades National Park, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Two-Hour Everglades Dolphin, Manatee and Birding Boat Tour?

Outty tracks every bookable tour here, scores it with the Outty Ranking, and shows what is worth your time, from full-day guided trips to short scenic outings. On Outty we rank every Everglades National Park experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Small Group Boat, Kayak and Walking Guided Eco Tour Everglades, Small-Group Everglades Boating Kayaking and Walking Eco Tour, Everglades Birding, Dolphin and Wildlife Boat Tour (2 hours). When is the best time to visit Everglades National Park?

    +

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
