About this experience
We are the "Quiet Alternative to an Airboat Ride". A boating, kayaking and walking tour in Everglades National Park. Our most popular tour! With your Florida Master Naturalist Guide on the boat; searching for dolphins, manatees, sea turtles, rosette spoonbills, herons, egrets, ospreys, eagles and shore birds, learn about the Everglades different ecosystems, its long history and rich culture. At 1st sheltered destination, we will deploy very stable kayaks. The stealth of the kayak allows you to get close to the flora and fauna. Our next destination is an uninhabited barrier island beach where you will be led on a leisurely, hands-on walking tour. Expect to see more seashells than you ever have. After the walk, we are back in the kayaks, then the boat, then back to home base. Note: June through October, we suggest the morning experiences due to the weather.

Wonderful afternoon exploring the western Everglades!
Excellent boating, beach combing and kayaking experience with Captain Jerry. He was friendly, funny, and extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area, the wildlife and culture, etc. My family and I were the only passengers that afternoon so he asked what we wanted to see/experience most and was happy to tailor the trip to make that happen. We really enjoyed the variety of being able to boat, kayak and spend time looking for shells on a beach outside the park. Would highly recommend this tour and this captain if you want a small group experience that focuses on the environment of the Everglades.
Response from the operator: Thank you for the great review! Captain Jerry truly loves what he does and it shows.. Glad you all had a special intimate experience!! Thanks again for the recommendation!

Serene nature experience
Serene peaceful nature experience. We had a lovely small group and were able to experience the true mangrove area away from the Marco crowds. Loved seeing the dolphins and birds and getting quietly away in kayaks.
Response from the operator: That sounds like you all had a wonderful time, Angela! There is something magical about being in the mangroves tunnels and in the 10,000 Islands! Thank you choosing to spend your day with us!

Great day on the water in the Everglades
Great trip! It was a pleasure to spend the afternoon with Don, our guide, who was knowledgable and informative. He shared a lot of history of the area as well as information about flora and fauna (shells, sea creatures, edible plants, etc.). We saw osprey bringing fish to their nests, a bald eagle, dolphins, and just missed some manatees as they darted away from the boat. It's great to see the Everglades from the water. Highly recommended!
Response from the operator: That sounds like an unforgettable adventure! Captain Don always has a way of making a trip even more special with all his insights into the area's history, plants, and animals. Thank you for leaving a review! Please come back any time!

Why this scores 79
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Small-Group Everglades Boating Kayaking and Walking Eco Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Everglades National Park.
How much does Small-Group Everglades Boating Kayaking and Walking Eco Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $200 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Everglades National Park usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Small-Group Everglades Boating Kayaking and Walking Eco Tour take?
+
Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Everglades National Park is not rushed.
Is Small-Group Everglades Boating Kayaking and Walking Eco Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 79 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 107 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Everglades National Park, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Small-Group Everglades Boating Kayaking and Walking Eco Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Small-Group Everglades Boating Kayaking and Walking Eco Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Small-Group Everglades Boating Kayaking and Walking Eco Tour?
+
Around 37 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Everglades National Park can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Everglades National Park and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Small-Group Everglades Boating Kayaking and Walking Eco Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Everglades National Park within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Everglades National Park?
+
Everglades National Park draws visitors for its landscapes, wildlife and guided outdoor experiences. Outty tracks every bookable tour here, scores it with the Outty Ranking, and shows what is worth your time, from full-day guided trips to short scenic outings. On Outty we rank every Everglades National Park experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Small Group Boat, Kayak and Walking Guided Eco Tour Everglades, Two-Hour Everglades Dolphin, Manatee and Birding Boat Tour, Everglades Birding, Dolphin and Wildlife Boat Tour (2 hours). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Everglades National Park?
+
Late spring through early fall for full access and the widest tour availability, with quieter trails in the shoulder weeks. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Everglades National Park?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
