Great tour of the Everglades coastal islands

Excellent 2 hr tour. I think we saw every bird in the area. We even encountered a manatee in one inlet. Guide was a total pro.

Response from the operator: Thank you for the review! That's awesome that you were able to see a manatee!! Thanks for coming out with us!

    Relaxing and educational

Don was our captain. He was friendly and provided a lot of info on the local flora and fauna of the area as well as the Colusa Indians and early settlers. It was a chilly day and unfortunately we didn’t see any dolphins or manatees but learned a lot and enjoyed our trip. One suggestion, add a cushion to the bench seat. There are 4 cushioned captain chairs and one hard bench seat for two. Thanks Don!

Response from the operator: Captain Don truly loves you will always learn something new everyone you go out with him!! Thank you for the suggestion as we are in the works of changing that!! Thank you again for coming out with us!

    Worth IT

We were having trouble finding an outing that was enjoyable for my entire family, ranging in age from 16 to 88. This did the trick. Everyone loved it. The price was reasonable and our guides were friendly and knowledgeable. The length of the tour was perfect for my older parents. And it was absolutely beautiful and peaceful being on the water. Plus we saw lots of dophins.

Response from the operator: So glad to hear we could make everyone happy! That's our plan! Glad you all had a great time and thank you for the great review!

    Great Tour with Captain Don

We took this tour with Captain Don this afternoon. It was me and my girlfriend and we are both 71. Turned out it was just the 2 of us and the experience was amazing. First, the boat is small but there were very comfortable cushioned seats. We stayed dry the entire time. Captain Don was a great guide. He was so knowledgeable about the wildlife and made short stops along he way to educate us about the birds we saw giving us great details about each one. We mentioned that we went on a shelling tour where our guide, although nice, knew nothing about shells. So Don brought out a special box of shells and told us in detail about each shell and how they were formed. I would highly recommend this tour and hope you get Captain Don as your guide.

Response from the operator: Thank you for the great review, Kevin! Captain Don is a trove of knowledge for everything about The Everglades and the 10,000 Islands! You can expect to learn something new each time you go out with Captain Don. Glad you all had a great time.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Everglades National Park.

How much does Everglades Birding, Dolphin and Wildlife Boat Tour (2 hours) cost?

    +

Prices start at $120 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Everglades National Park usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Everglades Birding, Dolphin and Wildlife Boat Tour (2 hours) take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Everglades National Park is not rushed.

Is Everglades Birding, Dolphin and Wildlife Boat Tour (2 hours) worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 100 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Everglades National Park, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Everglades Birding, Dolphin and Wildlife Boat Tour (2 hours)?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Everglades Birding, Dolphin and Wildlife Boat Tour (2 hours) suitable for kids and families?

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Everglades Birding, Dolphin and Wildlife Boat Tour (2 hours)?

    +

Around 35 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Everglades National Park can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Everglades National Park and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Everglades National Park?

    +

Everglades National Park draws visitors for its landscapes, wildlife and guided outdoor experiences. Outty tracks every bookable tour here, scores it with the Outty Ranking, and shows what is worth your time, from full-day guided trips to short scenic outings. On Outty we rank every Everglades National Park experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Small Group Boat, Kayak and Walking Guided Eco Tour Everglades, Small-Group Everglades Boating Kayaking and Walking Eco Tour, Two-Hour Everglades Dolphin, Manatee and Birding Boat Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Everglades National Park?

    +

Late spring through early fall for full access and the widest tour availability, with quieter trails in the shoulder weeks. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Everglades National Park?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
