Spectacular and informative day touring Tulum and the cenotes. Snorkeling in the cave was a unique experience we will not forget. Irving was a fantastic guide!

An INCREDIBLE experience ….until it wasn’t.
Our adventure was truly incredible, thanks to our exceptional guide, Juan. He was not only fun and personable but also incredibly knowledgeable about Mayan life and culture. Juan enriched our experience by sharing fascinating insights, showing us pottery he unearthed, and even taking videographer-level photos for us. His passion for archeology was evident, and we were fortunate to have someone who has written books on the culture and participated in archeological digs. When we visited our first cenote, Juan went above and beyond to make the experience unforgettable. He taught us about snorkeling, stalagmites, and cave bats, and took extra time to show us a special part of the cave, capturing it all on video with exceptional quality. However, our perfect afternoon took an unexpected turn when our car broke down on the side of the road. While we had noticed the SUV was older, we were initially not concerned as long as it had good AC, was clean, and dependable. Being stranded for about an hour, missing our second cenote experience, and lunch was not how we wanted to end our time. We are incredibly grateful to Pedro the mechanic for coming to our rescue and to Juan for seeking to keep our spirits high with his stories and entertainment. I hope Tulum Private Tours recognizes two important things: 1.) Juan is an invaluable asset and the heart of their company. We would follow him anywhere! 2.) Reliable transportation is crucial for a seamless tour experience. No tourist wants to feel stranded in a foreign country.
