Amazing tour of Tulum and the centers!!!
Our guide Jhony was amazing! Very knowledgeable. He gave our family group of 12 lots of information regarding history and culture. He was patient with questions and kept a great pace. He’s a great driver. Lunch was delicious. Everyone had a great time from a 13 year old to the grandparents. Highly recommended.

Excellent Tour with an Outstanding Guide and Spectacular Cenote
Excellent day trip and we were back by 3:00 PM, which left plenty of time to enjoy the rest of our day. Our tour guide, Ulises, was outstanding, and our driver was fantastic as well. Tulum was absolutely beautiful, and we learned so much about Mayan history and culture throughout the experience. The cenote was spectacular and truly felt like stepping into a real-life Pirates of the Caribbean adventure. The entire day was informative, fun, exciting, and topped off with great food. We’re a fairly laid-back group, and this tour was the perfect fit for us. Choosing the morning tour was definitely the right decision. Highly recommended!
Response from the operator: We’re really happy to hear the day worked out so perfectly for your group! It sounds like you got to enjoy a great balance of history, nature, and fun at a relaxed pace. Ulises and the driver will be glad to know they helped make the experience so enjoyable. Thank you for recommending us, and we’d be glad to have you back anytime in the Riviera Maya!

Highlight of our visit to the Mayan Riviera
We had the best day with our guide Ulises and driver Charlie on our Tulum and Cenote private tour. The van was clean, comfortable and cool. Ulises was so friendly and knowledgeable and made our tour educational and highly entertaining. We got to experience true Mayan culture and witness thousands of years of history. Our tour was finished off with a delicious authentic Mexican lunch. The day was literally perfect in so many ways and we leave with lots of great memories from this amazing experience.
Response from the operator: It’s wonderful to hear you had such a memorable day with Ulises and Charlie! We’re glad the comfort of the transport, the cultural experiences, and the lunch all came together for you so well. Thank you for joining us, and we hope to see you again on your next trip to the Riviera Maya!

Really fun and informative tour through Tulum followed by snorkeling the Taak-bi-ha Senote, then ending at a chill laid back restaurant. Ulises was a great tour guide and was super friendly.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! It means a lot to us to know you enjoyed your day and felt well taken care of throughout the tour. We'll make sure Ulises receives your kind words. We appreciate your support and would love to welcome you back for another adventure in the Riviera Maya someday!

Just Show Up on Time and They Do the Rest
We had an amazing day of a private tour for 8. Four parents with four adult children in early 20’s, enjoyed the historical information that can only come from an expert local guide. Fantastic ruins of Tulum transported us back hundreds of years. The Cenote was amazing with snorkel gear provided and the guide added information to our experience. These were followed by a delicious lunch at Juanita’s. The best meal we had all week. Our driver Carlos kept the van secure and helped out as needed. Ulises is a wonderful guide that add information to our experience that made it so much more than we could do on our own. We just had to show up on time, and they took care of everything else!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind review! We are delighted to hear that your family had such a wonderful experience with us. Thank you for choosing us, and we hope to welcome you back to the Riviera Maya on your next visit!

Why this scores 81
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Tulum Ruins and Cenote Taak-bi-ha Private Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Playa del Carmen.
How much does Tulum Ruins and Cenote Taak-bi-ha Private Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $155 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Playa del Carmen usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Tulum Ruins and Cenote Taak-bi-ha Private Tour take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Playa del Carmen is not rushed.
Is Tulum Ruins and Cenote Taak-bi-ha Private Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 81 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 102 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Playa del Carmen, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Tulum Ruins and Cenote Taak-bi-ha Private Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Tulum Ruins and Cenote Taak-bi-ha Private Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 4. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 6-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Tulum Ruins and Cenote Taak-bi-ha Private Tour?
+
Around 36 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Playa del Carmen can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Playa del Carmen and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Tulum Ruins and Cenote Taak-bi-ha Private Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Playa del Carmen within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Playa del Carmen?
+
On Outty we rank every Playa del Carmen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include VIP Chichen Itza Private Tour, VIP Tulum Private Tour, Chichen Itza Private Tour VIP. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Playa del Carmen?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Playa del Carmen?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
