Amazingly organized full day. Our tour had 4 Spanish speakers and us 2 English speakers and our guide did an excellent job switching back and forth for all of us, all very understandably.

Viator and tour companies need to lift their game in communication to
Terrible communication by Viator and Enjoy Oaxaca tour company. Ok, so I booked about 5 pm the night before, because Viator showed there was availability ! It can be tricky for some to navigate these websites & I’m potentially one of them. Any company using a third party needs to be more vigilant and Viator should be as well for taking last minute bookings. At 6.30 am the next morning I still hadn’t received a message via WhatsApp from Enjoy Oaxaca, so tried calling and left numerous voice messages, sent a heap of messages via WhatsApp and got an apologetic AI conversation. Waited an hour and a half at pickup, whilst continuing messaging, finally at 9am the office called, the gentleman was apologetic, but naturally we were too late, the bus had already left. He offered choices, which were, we could go on a different tour the next day, take the same tour 2 days later or be given a refund. Chose refund, because we were leaving next day, the refund process will have to go back through Viator & take up to ten days. Be careful booking through a third party, there can be hiccups. Am sure Enjoy Oaxaca are a fantastic company to book tours with, their reviews are great, this is why I booked. When googling tours, all these third party companies come up first and it can be quite confusing. Don’t forget to try booking directly as well.

Fascinating Tours
It was a fascinating tour, they arrived on time for us, and were very friendly. Our Guide Edelmira told us many stories, she made it very entertaining and fun. They took us to many places with all the explanations. We had an incredible time. Hope to see them soon, all our family loved it.

Jam Packed Day in Oaxaca
The tour was jam packed. We were a group of 4 (35-60) and enjoyed every single stop-full of knowledge, photo ops and enjoyment. Our guide Ede was so nice, knowledgeable and eager to share that knowledge with us. The only fault I would find with the tour is that we felt very rushed at every stop. If tour was a couple hours longer or one stop shorter, might help. But definitely recommended to friends visiting Oaxaca!

Why this scores 80
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Tule, Mitla & Hierve el Agua Full-Day Tour with Certified Guide: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Oaxaca City.
How much does Tule, Mitla & Hierve el Agua Full-Day Tour with Certified Guide cost?
+
Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Oaxaca City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Tule, Mitla & Hierve el Agua Full-Day Tour with Certified Guide take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Oaxaca City is not rushed.
Is Tule, Mitla & Hierve el Agua Full-Day Tour with Certified Guide worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 80 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 121 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Oaxaca City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Tule, Mitla & Hierve el Agua Full-Day Tour with Certified Guide?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Tule, Mitla & Hierve el Agua Full-Day Tour with Certified Guide suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Tule, Mitla & Hierve el Agua Full-Day Tour with Certified Guide?
+
Around 42 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Oaxaca City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Oaxaca City and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Tule, Mitla & Hierve el Agua Full-Day Tour with Certified Guide start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Oaxaca City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Oaxaca City?
+
On Outty we rank every Oaxaca City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include AUTHENTIC OAXACA CULTURAL FOOD TOUR, eat like a local., Hierve el Agua 2.5 hours, Mitla, Tule, Rugs and Mezcal for a Day, Traditional Oaxaqueña Cooking with Grandma's Recipes. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Oaxaca City?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Oaxaca City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
