Perfect introduction to Colombo
What an absolutely wonderful experience with Tuk It Easy Colombo! A huge thank you to Charles — we genuinely couldn’t have asked for more. From the moment we met him, Charles was warm, friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. He gave us such fascinating insights into Colombo and Sri Lanka, but what really made the experience stand out was hearing about his own journey of moving here and his experiences of the wonderful mix of cultures and religions that make Sri Lanka so unique. He was incredibly thoughtful and insightful, and it was a real pleasure spending time with him. We also loved meeting “David, the most famous tuk tuk driver in Sri Lanka” — such a fun part of the day — and stopping for a fantastic coffee which is a rare find here. A massive thank you to Charles and Tuk It Easy for giving us such a memorable and authentic introduction to Colombo. We absolutely loved it and would highly recommend Tuk It Easy to anyone visiting Colombo. Keep up the fantastic work — and thank you again for such a brilliant day!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this wonderful review! We’re absolutely delighted to hear how much you enjoyed discovering Colombo with Charles and David. Charles has a very special way of sharing the city not only its history, but also the people, cultures, religions and everyday life that make Colombo and Sri Lanka so unique. We’re very lucky to have him as part of the Tuk It Easy family! And of course, no adventure would be complete without David, “the most famous tuk-tuk driver in Sri Lanka” and a good coffee along the way! For us, the best tours are not simply about visiting places, but about meeting people, sharing stories and experiencing the real Colombo. We’re so happy that this is what you took away from your day with us. Thank you again for your kind words and recommendation. Charles and David will be very happy to read this! All the best from the whole Tuk It Easy Colombo team

The Best Tour Guides and Tours
Absolutely 💯 excellent tour. I was doing a trial tour ahead of my forthcoming retreat in Sri Lanka. Olivier was superb in every way. He fulfilled exactly what I was looking for in showing us the hidden parts of my home city that I’d never seen and what I want my guests to see. It was fabulous.

Fab Tuktuk tour of Colombo’s hidden gems, iconic sights
So glad we booked this great tuk tuk tour. Olivier and Samir showed us a surprising and varied snapshot of Colombo’s fascinating history and modern life. Great way to explore the city.

Don’t miss Colombo, more than worth it !
Colombo is so under rated ! We enjoyed our tour a lot, allowed us to have a glimpse of the busy Colombo city life on top of great insight on the cultural and historical context. You will see different places and feel for some hours a bit more like a local !

Why this scores 89
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Tuk It Easy Colombo: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Colombo.
How much does Tuk It Easy Colombo cost?
+
Prices start at $15 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Colombo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Tuk It Easy Colombo take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Colombo is not rushed.
Is Tuk It Easy Colombo worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 89 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 268 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Colombo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Tuk It Easy Colombo?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Tuk It Easy Colombo suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Tuk It Easy Colombo?
+
Around 94 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Colombo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Colombo and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Tuk It Easy Colombo start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Colombo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Colombo?
+
On Outty we rank every Colombo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Flexi dates on all 5 to 7 days packages for car and English speaking driver, Sri Lanka Personal Tour Driver in private vehicle, 08 Nights in Magical Sri Lanka. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Colombo?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Colombo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
