Cantacuzino Castle
Our next stop is Cantacuzino Castle, the former summer residence of Prince Gheorghe Grigore Cantacuzino, nicknamed "The Nabob" due to his impressive wealth, located in the resort of Bușteni. The building, built in 1911, bears a great architectural, historical, documentary and artistic value and spreads over a vast area of about 6 hectares. The architecture of the castle is made in neo-Romanian style, with neo-Brancovian elements. The castle park is similar to European royal parks, being laid out with paved alleys, artesian fountains, a grotto, trees, flower gardens and sculptures. It also offers the most beautiful panoramic view in the entire area! Due to its special charm, the castle has hosted, over time, several international productions (films, series, TV commercials, videos etc.). The castle became famous as a result of the most recent production filmed here, the mini-series "Wednesday", the exterior of the castle representing the Nevermore Academy.

Awesome
I had a great experience on this tour and would absolutely recommend it. My driver, Nic, was fantastic—very patient, kind, and accommodating throughout the day. I have a disability and use a cane, so parts of the tour were physically challenging for me. It’s worth noting that this tour would not be suitable for someone in a wheelchair. That said, Nic never rushed me and made sure I was comfortable at every step. He also speaks excellent English, and we had many interesting conversations about the tour and Romania, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, I had a wonderful time and would definitely do this tour again. I believe others will have just as positive an experience.
