Next, we will visit the impressive Vidraru Dam, a remarkable feat of engineering from the 1960s that holds back the sparkling waters of Lake Vidraru. We then ascend into the Făgăraș Mountains National Park, where nature's beauty truly comes alive. Next is Balea Lake, the place of view on the winding road, open only from June to October, located at over 2,000 meters altitude. Here, you'll admire the famous winding Top Gear Road. We stay here for 90 minutes. On the way back we'll stop at Capra Waterfall, perfect for taking in the fresh mountain air. This tour covers a distance of 480 km, of which 280 km are on the highway.

When bears get used to human food, they stop foraging naturally, lose their fear of humans, and often have to be relocated or put down for safety reasons. Excellent tour
Very good tour . Our guide Pedro was excellent . Very knowledgeable , friendly , accommodative and funny . Liked his jokes so much The views were excellent and icing on the cake was seeing a bear just after a bath by the road side. Pedro was very patient and answered all our questions. Gave us good tips about restaurants etc He made a difference . Tour was well organised Would recommend 100%

Amazing tour with a stunning view of the Transfagarasan Road
Absolutely and definitely one of the best tours we have ever taken. The itinerary was planned perfectly, the individual stops apparently chosen with great care but the one thing (or person, rather) that made the trip an unforgettable experience was our great guide, Andrei. Dear Andrei, many thanks again. Our guide was perfectly on time with the pickup (right in front of our hotel) and took us safely to amazing locations on the way to, and in, Transylvania. We enjoyed each and every one of them but of course, the final stop at the lake with the stunning view of the Transfagarasan road was unquestionably the best. And it was precisely at that moment that we realised the advantage of a private tour - no rush, no need to be back in the bus on time (understandable with a large group but obviously a little stressful). We arrived at the location in the midst of a thick fog but thanks to the luxury of a private tour, we could wait for the skies to clear. And what a treat that was! All in all, a wonderful experience, very knowledgeable and entertaining guide, and a safe drive to and from, I believe, one of the most beautiful parts of Romania. (And yes, we did see a bear too! :-) Thanks again, Lenka and Jirka from Czechia

Amazing day trip..
After being let down by another tour the day before when the pick up bus didn’t turn up and we were subsequently told it had been cancelled , I booked this trip last minute and the instructions were immediately clear for pick up. There were 5 of us on this trip plus our guide Alex who was simply amazing. So knowledgeable, friendly with a great sense of humour. We also had a great group of people and whilst we did not see any Brown Bears the mountains were stunning. I would definitely do this trip again to see the Brown Bears.
