Luis Jesus provided an excellent service and was on time, communicative, flexible, and shared a ton of knowledge while he shared his town with us. We enjoyed the whole tour and even extended it for a couple hours. Would be back in a second!

A tour with first-class attention and fascinating experiences
A unique and super immersive experience. Very good to see impressive places like Mitla and El Tule. The guide Luis gave us was super informative and attentive. The experiences to learn about the process of making mezcal, fabrics and chocolate are excellent. I would give them 6 stars if they let me put even more.

Luis (guide) was very attentive since he picked us up at the airport and then the next day we went to Monte Alban and Mitla, Luis did not stop talking throughout the tour with the history of each place we visited, very prepared in the history of Bello Oaxaca and its places of interest. Very flexible to our needs! Until more time

Oaxaca private tour
Lucas Guzman 52 951 111 0158 Lucas gave us an absolutely amazing tour!! He was fun, knowledgable, polite, helpful and proffesional. The car was very clean and new. We saw so much!! First stop was black Pottery. We saw a master Potter working on his huge vessels. We saw the kiln and watched him and his son work. The son makes modern wall tiles that are in homes, hotels and installations around the globe! We had a bite in the small local restaurant next door. Truly authentic experience. We had a chance to purchase some Black pottery and we were so grateful for the opportunity. Next we went to meet a woman who does embroidery. She learnt from her mother , and grandmother and has taught her daughter as well. She was in her seventies and continues to work on magnificent pieces. It was mind blowing to watch her sketch and sew her own designs onto fabric, clothing, and textiles. It can take hundreds of hours for her to complete the work. It is authentic and beginning to end all done by hand. She lives and sells from her small perfect store in a small town on the outskirts of Oaxaca. We were grateful to Lucas for finding this spot to share with us. We saw next a weaver and his family at their organic home/space. They buy the wool , card it, clean it, spin it, then,…. Create their own dye from nature. Using flowers, fruit and skin, turmeric, cactus bugs, bark, indigo etc…. The wool is boiled and dipped in the natural colors to create a variety of shades for weaving. He makes magnificent carpets on the seven foot looms in his studio. He was taught by his father, and he teaches his children too…. This was amazing!! We also went to a home to learn about blackstrap weaving. Three sisters who learned the skill from their mother and grandmother. They do all the patterning in their heads. They work tirelessly and produce amazing textiles. The back-strap weaving technique is unique. These women are masters and have won many awards , their photos and prizes are displayed in the yard. This day was a highlight of our trip. Lucas took us to see people and things we could not have found on our own. It was incredible. We learned so much and had never seen this quality of textile design. We are so grateful. We will recommend Lucas and the textile tour to everyone!! Soo lucky to have found this guide in Oaxaca. We will be back!!!

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Oaxaca City.
How much does Tour in Oaxaca a Tule,Mezcal,Textiles, Mitla, chocolate cost?

How long does Tour in Oaxaca a Tule,Mezcal,Textiles, Mitla, chocolate take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Oaxaca City is not rushed.
Is Tour in Oaxaca a Tule,Mezcal,Textiles, Mitla, chocolate worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 39 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Oaxaca City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Tour in Oaxaca a Tule,Mezcal,Textiles, Mitla, chocolate?
+

Is Tour in Oaxaca a Tule,Mezcal,Textiles, Mitla, chocolate suitable for kids and families?

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Tour in Oaxaca a Tule,Mezcal,Textiles, Mitla, chocolate?
+
Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Oaxaca City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Oaxaca City and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Oaxaca City?
+
On Outty we rank every Oaxaca City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include AUTHENTIC OAXACA CULTURAL FOOD TOUR, eat like a local., Hierve el Agua 2.5 hours, Mitla, Tule, Rugs and Mezcal for a Day, Traditional Oaxaqueña Cooking with Grandma's Recipes. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Oaxaca City?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Oaxaca City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
