5 stars for all of the stars!

The transfer was very safe, the camel ride was great! Good communication throughout. Lots of information on the journey. Food was prepared and we had time to explore the dunes. The guys running it were great!! Big shout out to James, Prim and Rosa who made it a super special experience.

    Desert ultimate adventure

"I'm grateful for this life-changing experience witnessing God's majestic creations in the desert. The beauty of nature is truly breathtaking. Hopefully, with God's blessing, I'll return another time with friends to marvel at this wonder again. Date of experience: May 2025" with Jamir a perfect gentleman in, his late 30s "A divine encounter in the desert, May 2025. Witnessing God's creatures in their natural habitat was a humbling experience. I look forward to returning with friends, God's willing, to bask in the beauty of creation once more."

    Sleeping under the stars

We loved the personal approach of really having a private tour. Very kind reception from our driver James and camel man Umed. The camel ride took us to a beautiful spot in the desert, including some sand dunes, which was also a great spot to watch the sun set and rise, and to take pictures. There is no better feeling than to eat food cooked over an open fire after a camel ride. We booked to have a night under the stars, and experienced the cold of the desert night, which was no problem with the blankets provided. People who want something else can still change to accommodation in a luxury tent, but we chose to stay under the billions of stars and see the milky way without any light pollution, and hearing only the sounds of desert life.

Response from the operator: Dear sir/Madam, Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful experience with us! We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the personal touch of the private tour and the warm hospitality of James and Umed. It’s wonderful to know that the camel ride, the stunning desert sunset and sunrise, and the magic of dining under the open sky created unforgettable memories for you. Spending a night under the stars in the tranquility of the desert is indeed a one-of-a-kind experience, and we’re so glad you embraced it. The clear view of the Milky Way and the sounds of the desert truly have a way of connecting us to nature’s wonders. Your kind words inspire us to continue crafting such unique and meaningful experiences for our guests. We would be delighted to welcome you back for another adventure in the future! Warm regards, Ashraf Mystic Jaisalmer

The Billion stars Experience in the Desert: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Jaisalmer.

How much does The Billion stars Experience in the Desert cost?

    +

Prices start at $91 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Jaisalmer usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does The Billion stars Experience in the Desert take?

    +

Plan for about 24 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Jaisalmer is not rushed.

Is The Billion stars Experience in the Desert worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 82 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 48 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Jaisalmer, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule The Billion stars Experience in the Desert?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is The Billion stars Experience in the Desert suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 24-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book The Billion stars Experience in the Desert?

    +

Around 17 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Jaisalmer can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Jaisalmer and add a light layer if any part of the 24-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does The Billion stars Experience in the Desert start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Jaisalmer within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Jaisalmer?

    +

On Outty we rank every Jaisalmer experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Overnight Camel Safari - Sleeping under the Stars, Adventure non touristic camel safari, Overnight Desert Safari Tour Package. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Jaisalmer?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Jaisalmer?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
