Best camel safari and best team ever

A beautiful site, an exceptional team, kind, helpful, always making sure you get the best out of your experience, Padam and his team are wonderful. The camel safari, the food, the night under the stars, the breakfast in the desert, everything was as expected, even better. The shower kindly provided back at the hotel was appreciated. Do not forget to check the restaurant upstairs wich is a peacefully place and beautifully decorated. We stayed with them 5 years ago and this time was as great as the last. Go there without hesitation, this the place to go to and the people to be with ! Thanks again to the all team ! Marion

    A beautiful experience

I spent one night last week in the Thar Desert, organised by Wanderlust Guesthouse 🏜 You head there on camel or by jeep. You watch the sunset over the dunes, are cooked a delicious meal by your guides and sit round a fire chatting until your eyes start to drop. Then get into your open air camp bed and gaze up at the stars! If you’re super lucky you’ll see a shooting star or two. I saw one. It was a new moon night and so far away from a city there was no light pollution! You wake up to the sound of birds chirping away and have chai in bed! Jaisalmer is as far west of India as you get so it’s one of the last places to get sunrise. It was really a magical experience. We are so lucky and blessed to have this beautiful land, let’s treat it that way. Thank you to The Wanderlust Guest House and the team of guides for arranging this great adventure! I would do it again!

    Best weekend in India

It was a fantastic journey. We were picked up directly from the bus station and at every part of the trip we enjoin the company of our guide and cook. The night sky was amazing and the dunes allowed us to take beautiful pictures. I absolutely recommend this trip for people that like to be in close touch with nature!

The Silent Dunes Experience - Without Camel Overnight Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Jaisalmer.

How much does The Silent Dunes Experience - Without Camel Overnight Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $26 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Jaisalmer usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does The Silent Dunes Experience - Without Camel Overnight Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Jaisalmer is not rushed.

Is The Silent Dunes Experience - Without Camel Overnight Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 79 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 36 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Jaisalmer, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule The Silent Dunes Experience - Without Camel Overnight Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is The Silent Dunes Experience - Without Camel Overnight Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 48-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book The Silent Dunes Experience - Without Camel Overnight Tour?

    +

Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Jaisalmer can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Jaisalmer and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does The Silent Dunes Experience - Without Camel Overnight Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Jaisalmer within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Jaisalmer?

    +

On Outty we rank every Jaisalmer experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Overnight Camel Safari - Sleeping under the Stars, Adventure non touristic camel safari, Overnight Desert Safari Tour Package. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Jaisalmer?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Jaisalmer?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
