    An Awesome Trip with Jorge

We had a fantastic private cenote tour with Jorge! Our group of four had the first two cave cenotes entirely to ourselves. Jorge did an awesome job navigating us through the cenotes while providing cultural and historical background on the Mayan people. I highly recommend the private option if you have a group since it made it feel like a truly secluded and genuine experience. Thanks again Jorge!

Response from the operator: We’re delighted to hear you had such a special day with Jorge! Having the cenotes to yourselves must have made the experience even more memorable. We truly appreciate your recommendation. We hope to have you back for another adventure in the Riviera Maya!

So good, we booked a second tour!

The first excursion we booked with Carey Tours was the Puerto Morelos Snorkeling Tour. Jorge was our guide and we had such a great experience we booked a second tour (Best Cenotes Playa del Carmen). One member of our group doesn't really know how to swim and he pulled her along on a life ring. We didn't have to worry about her at all, he was very caring. The private tour experience was fantastic. We were never rushed. We were even able to make a couple stops. Jorge was a wealth of knowledge. He was so easy to talk to and learn from. Felt like an old friend. He was great. We will definitely book our next excursion with Carey Tours and Jorge!

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience with us! It means so much to know you enjoyed your first tour enough to come back for another. We're especially happy to hear that Jorge made everyone feel comfortable and helped create such a relaxed and memorable experience. We truly appreciate your trust and look forward to seeing you again on your next visit to the Riviera Maya!

Exceptional Tour with Jorge - We Booked a second Tour!

Exceptional Tour with Jorge - We Booked a Second Tour! We had an amazing experience with Carey tours, and our guide, Jorge, made it unforgettable. He was incredibly kind, patient and knowledgeable. He explained everything so well, sharing the history of the area in a way that was interesting and easy to understand. We enjoyed.the Puerto Morelos Snorkeling express private tour with Jorge so much that we immediately booked a second tour with him at The Best Cenotes in Playa del Carmen private tour. What meant the most to me was the care Jorge showed me. I don’t know how to swim, and I was naturally nervous about snorkeling. Jorge treated me like a member of his own family. He stayed with me, made sure I was safe at all times, explained everything clearly, and helped me feel comfortable and confident. Because of his kindness and encouragement, I was able to relax and truly enjoy the experience I never thought I could. If you’re considering a tour with Carey Tours Rivera Maya, I highly recommend asking for Jorge. His professionalism, knowledge, and genuine care for his guests made this one of the highlights of our trip. Thank you,Jorge for making our vacation so special!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your heartfelt review! We’re truly honored that you chose to join us for a second tour. It means the world to us to know Jorge helped you feel comfortable and confident while creating such a special experience. Thank you for your trust and recommendation, we can't wait to welcome you back to the Riviera Maya for another unforgettable adventure!

    Amazing trip with Jorge!!!

Jorge with Carey Tours set a bar I genuinely don’t think can be cleared. We booked a private cenote tour and the intimacy of it made every moment feel like it was designed just for us — quiet, unhurried, luxurious. Jorge is a history and anthropology enthusiast in the best possible way: he wove together Mayan folklore, the origins of local place names, and regional history into something that felt like a masterclass, not a tour script. The cenotes themselves were breathtaking, but Jorge made them meaningful. We left knowing so much more than we arrived with. Exceeded every expectation we had.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your incredible review! We’re truly honored by your kind words and so happy to hear Jorge created such a meaningful and memorable experience for you. It means a lot to know the tour exceeded your expectations, and we hope to welcome you back for another special adventure in the future!

Best excursion of my life - thank you Jorge!!

Book Jorge at Carey Tours. That’s the whole review, honestly, but I’ll elaborate. Our private cenote tour near Tulum was the single best day of our trip — the kind of day you talk about for years. Jorge created such an engaged experience, took incredible photos of us throughout, made us feel completely taken care of every step of the way, and brought such genuine enthusiasm for the history and culture of the region that it transformed what could have been a standard excursion into something deeply special. His transport was spotless and comfortable, and the whole experience had a quality and ease that far exceeded what we expected even after reading glowing reviews. Jorge, you’re the best.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your incredible review! We’re truly honored to hear this experience became such a special highlight of your trip. Jorge will be so happy to know his passion and care made such a lasting impression. We deeply appreciate your kind words and hope to welcome you again for another unforgettable adventure!

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Playa del Carmen.

How much does The Best Cenotes in Playa del Carmen Private Tour cost?

    +

How long does The Best Cenotes in Playa del Carmen Private Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Playa del Carmen is not rushed.

Is The Best Cenotes in Playa del Carmen Private Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Playa del Carmen, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule The Best Cenotes in Playa del Carmen Private Tour?

How far in advance should I book The Best Cenotes in Playa del Carmen Private Tour?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Playa del Carmen can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Playa del Carmen and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does The Best Cenotes in Playa del Carmen Private Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Playa del Carmen within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Playa del Carmen?

    +

On Outty we rank every Playa del Carmen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include VIP Chichen Itza Private Tour, VIP Tulum Private Tour, Chichen Itza Private Tour VIP. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Playa del Carmen?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Playa del Carmen?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
