2 great London tours with the personal touch

I can't overstate how much we enjoyed our 2 tours with Dave and just how good they were. Tour 1 was a tailor made tour for us. Dave had taken onboard our wishlist (and incorporated what what we'd previously seen) to produce a cracking 4 hour route that ticked every box for us, including our request for a couple of pub stops along the way. Tour 2 was the first of Dave's Christmas lights tours this year and it was just as good, with a mix of nighttime landmarks and stories to complement the light displays themselves. Another great experience. Dave himself knows his stuff, tells a cracking story, and is a top class host. Look no further four your London tour guide.

Response from the operator: Hi Stewart and Sue, Many thanks for your very kind Review. It was excellent that you gave me such a good steer on what you wanted to see, and not see. You obviously know London well and I love the challenge of creating a tailor made tour, to take people such as yourselves, to places you didn't know existed! It was awesome too to give you two tours in one day, with the Christmas Lights looking so lovely and rounding off the day nicely. Hope to see you again in the future. Dave

    London Highlights

Dave did an outstanding job of showing us all the highlights and relaying all the history of London. He knew all the best places for photo stops and some interesting hidden gems. Great afternoon. Would not hesitate to recommend him.

Response from the operator: Hi Anne and Pat, Thanks very much for your very kind Review. It was lovely to meet you and I’m so glad that you enjoyed the Taxi Tour. Hope to see you again some time, if you're back in London. Best wishes Dave

    Royal Taxi Tour

Wonderful day with Dave on our royal taxi tour! This was for my mother in laws 80th birthday celebration and she loves the royal family. Dave tailored the tour perfectly and was very knowledgeable. We had a great time hopping off at different places. Thank you Dave for a truly memorable experience.

Response from the operator: Hi Lisa, Thank you so much for your lovely Review. You were a fabulous group to show around the Royal locations of London. Jan knew so much about the Royal Family as well. I’m really glad that you all enjoyed it. Kind Regrds Dave

Stress-free cruise transfer to London and fantastic London tour.

Great day with Dave! A friend highly recommended him to me after they booked him in January of this year. Dave picked us up from Southampton and drove us to our London hotel, waited while we check in and get settled and took us on a four hour big sites of London tour. He was prompt, personable, and professional. Don’t hesitate, book him now. It was the best decision of our vacation.

Response from the operator: Hi Tammy, Thanks a lot for your very kind review. You and Kirk were such lovely people to spend the day with. It worked well to meet you from your cruise in Southampton , then to do the Tour after you’d checked in. Hope to see you again one day Best wishes Dave

Take on London in a Day!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had the absolute pleasure of touring London with Dave as our personal driver, and I can’t recommend him highly enough. He took us to all the big sights in one packed, fabulous 6-hour tour, but it wasn’t just about checking boxes. Dave gave us so much history and context for each stop that we felt like we were truly experiencing the city—not just looking at it. He was patient, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable, making the day feel relaxed and easy despite covering so much ground. No rushing, no stress—just good vibes and great stories. If you’re visiting London and want a more personal, comfortable, and memorable experience than being crammed on a bus with 100 strangers, book Dave. Truly the best guy all around. Thank you, Dave, for making our day in London so special!

Response from the operator: Hi Christy, Thanks so much for your very kind Review. It was lovely to meet you and Ronnie, as well as being joined by Becky and Keith too. We got to see so much during your extended tour and I’m so pleased that you found it a memorable experience. Dave

Taxi Private Tour of the Big Sights of London: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for London.

How much does Taxi Private Tour of the Big Sights of London cost?

    +

Prices start at $544 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in London usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Taxi Private Tour of the Big Sights of London take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in London is not rushed.

Is Taxi Private Tour of the Big Sights of London worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 40 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in London, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Taxi Private Tour of the Big Sights of London?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Taxi Private Tour of the Big Sights of London suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Taxi Private Tour of the Big Sights of London?

    +

Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in London can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in London and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Taxi Private Tour of the Big Sights of London start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central London within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in London?

    +

London's best attractions split cleanly: the museums are free and need no booking, so the paid market is about views, theatre and getting out of the city for a day. That makes value scoring unusually important here, and the Outty Ranking penalises anything charging premium prices for access you could get for nothing. On Outty we rank every London experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Soho Music & Historic Pubs Tour, London Small Group Tour of Historical Pubs, The Great British Rock and Roll Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit London?

    +

May to September for long evenings, December for the Christmas markets. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in London?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
