Great family memories made
Jeremiah did a great job helping us see all types of wildlife including the beautiful bioluminescent plankton. This was our second Florida kayaking tour this summer. This was by far a much better experience than our other trip on the gulf side of the peninsula. Our family had a great time kayaking, though the alligator freaked the kids out… my husband and I loved it. Jeremiah was so good at sharing information about the wildlife and habitat. We were lucky to have a small private tour versus other very large groups that launched around the same time.

Great easy pace tour for family
Great tour with family of 4 (kids 13 and 8). Our guide Brian was great and very knowledgeable about the wildlife and the area. He gave my 8 year old a net (called a "critter getter") for her to catch jellies. We saw manatee, an alligator, racoon, bioluminescent jellies and lots of bird species. Very relaxing pace, no boat traffic. A very beautiful and peaceful area.

Great night!
Our guide Terence was awesome. We loved being out on the water at night. We brought bug spray but our guide had some for guests that didn’t. He took photos and shared them with us so we could leave our phones behind and trurly enjoy the moment.

Not a very good experience…
I booked a tour for my birthday to enjoy the sunset and see the bioluminescence. 1. At first, our tour was rescheduled an hour later. We were supposed to start the briefing at 6:30 pm but actually started at 7:30 pm. For the sunset that timing was fine, but we had driven three hours to get there, and it would have been very useful to know about the delay in advance, since we just wasted that hour sitting in a restaurant. 2. During the tour we were mostly paddling back and forth in circles. The location itself was not very interesting. 3. We found a few glowing jellyfish that we touched and noticed a slight glow. But there was nothing even close to the scale and brightness shown in your promotional videos. I was really disappointed. Later, we were supposedly waiting for dolphins at night — but we had already seen them ourselves during the day without the guide. What I noticed was that we were just floating around and basically “doing whatever,” while the guide was sitting under a sign, looking at his phone… After about 10 minutes of this pointless paddling, I asked to be taken back to shore, because I realized we weren’t going to see anything else. Yes, maybe the guide was right and the cloudy weather was the reason there was no bioluminescence. But if you already know that under such weather conditions nothing will be visible — then call your guests, reschedule the tour. You’ve been doing this for many years, yet you still leave people with such bad impressions.

Why this scores 58
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Sunset Kayaking w/ Florida Bioluminescence Combo Tour | Haulover canal: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cocoa Beach.
How much does Sunset Kayaking w/ Florida Bioluminescence Combo Tour | Haulover canal cost?
+
Prices start at $95 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cocoa Beach usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Sunset Kayaking w/ Florida Bioluminescence Combo Tour | Haulover canal take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cocoa Beach is not rushed.
Is Sunset Kayaking w/ Florida Bioluminescence Combo Tour | Haulover canal worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 33 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cocoa Beach, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Sunset Kayaking w/ Florida Bioluminescence Combo Tour | Haulover canal?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Sunset Kayaking w/ Florida Bioluminescence Combo Tour | Haulover canal suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Sunset Kayaking w/ Florida Bioluminescence Combo Tour | Haulover canal?
+
Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cocoa Beach can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cocoa Beach and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Sunset Kayaking w/ Florida Bioluminescence Combo Tour | Haulover canal start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cocoa Beach within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cocoa Beach?
+
Cocoa Beach sells surf lessons, airboat rides on the St Johns, bioluminescent kayak paddles in summer and rocket launch viewing cruises, with Kennedy Space Center a short drive north. On Outty we rank every Cocoa Beach experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mangrove Tunnels, Dolphins, Manatee Tour #1 Rated in Cocoa Beach, Wizard of OZ Museum tour, Cocoa Beach Dolphin and Wildlife Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cocoa Beach?
+
March to May and September to November; check launch schedules before booking. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cocoa Beach?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
