Kayaking with light up plankton
Amazing experience. We knew nothing about this phenomenon in nature. It was worth the drive to Titusville from Jacksonville. Safety was a focus. Chloe our guide was knowledgeable. It was hard to hear her at times but when we could she was very good. Maybe turn kayak around when sharing info to face group.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us! ✨ We’re thrilled to hear that discovering the bioluminescence was such an amazing and worthwhile adventure — especially after making the drive from Jacksonville to Titusville! 🌌🛶 We’re also glad you felt that safety was a priority throughout the tour. We truly appreciate suggestions like this because they help us continue improving the experience for everyone. Thank you again for choosing Cocoa Kayaking and making the trip to join us. We hope to see you back on the water for another unforgettable adventure! 💙✨

Ian was n amazing guide, knowledgeable, personable, and safety conscious. This experience did not disappoint! The weather was perfect, with a light breeze and clear skies Te bug repellant Ian offered was very good. Not one single bite! We took a few videos without a flash and they came out nicely. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a unique experience. We even saw a shooting star. Amazing! It was a perfect adventure.

Tour guide called and...
Our tour guide very graciously called me while I was running late and on the way to the site to help get me set up and in the water quickly despite my tardiness. Had an amazing time despite the storms too! It was a truly magical and stress-free experience.
Response from the operator: We’re so glad we could help make your adventure as stress-free as possible, even with a little last-minute rushing! Our guides are always happy to help get you settled and out on the water so you can focus on enjoying the experience. And a little Florida weather didn’t stop the magic! Thank you for joining us, and we hope to see you back out on the water for another adventure soon!

Informative experience
Location needs to be better identified
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback! We know meeting at a new location can sometimes be tricky. We include detailed directions in every confirmation email, along with a video showing exactly where to find us in the parking lot, and our office team is always happy to help guide guests to the correct meeting spot if needed. We appreciate your input and hope to paddle with you again!

Why this scores 74
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Thousand Islands Bioluminescent Kayak Tour with Cocoa Kayaking!: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cocoa Beach.
How much does Thousand Islands Bioluminescent Kayak Tour with Cocoa Kayaking! cost?
+
Prices start at $139 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cocoa Beach usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Thousand Islands Bioluminescent Kayak Tour with Cocoa Kayaking! take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cocoa Beach is not rushed.
Is Thousand Islands Bioluminescent Kayak Tour with Cocoa Kayaking! worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 168 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cocoa Beach, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Thousand Islands Bioluminescent Kayak Tour with Cocoa Kayaking!?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Thousand Islands Bioluminescent Kayak Tour with Cocoa Kayaking! suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Thousand Islands Bioluminescent Kayak Tour with Cocoa Kayaking!?
+
Around 59 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cocoa Beach can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cocoa Beach and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Thousand Islands Bioluminescent Kayak Tour with Cocoa Kayaking! start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cocoa Beach within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cocoa Beach?
+
Cocoa Beach sells surf lessons, airboat rides on the St Johns, bioluminescent kayak paddles in summer and rocket launch viewing cruises, with Kennedy Space Center a short drive north. On Outty we rank every Cocoa Beach experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mangrove Tunnels, Dolphins, Manatee Tour #1 Rated in Cocoa Beach, Wizard of OZ Museum tour, Cocoa Beach Dolphin and Wildlife Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cocoa Beach?
+
March to May and September to November; check launch schedules before booking. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cocoa Beach?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
