Ian is the best tour guide!
We had such a wonderful time kayaking with Ian! He was very welcoming and very knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife! Although we didn’t get to see any manatees or dolphins, we had a relaxing and enjoyable time!
Response from the operator: Ian’s warm welcome and knowledge of the area make for such a great experience on the water. Sounds like a relaxing and enjoyable paddle!

Amazing again!
This was my second time on this tour. Enjoyed it just as much! My wife said it was her favorite part of our Florida trip! Ian is a great guide...very friendly, explains everything in detail, and very knowledgeable about the nature in the area. We got to see a dolphin and beautiful sunset. My wife said she could have stayed out for several more hours! Thanks for a great trip!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We’re thrilled to hear that your second tour was just as enjoyable as the first. Ian will be delighted to know you appreciated his friendly guidance and detailed knowledge of the local nature. Seeing a dolphin and catching a beautiful sunset sounds like the perfect combination, and we’re so glad it became a highlight of your Florida trip for your wife! We’d love to have you both back anytime for even more time on the water. 🛶🐬🌅

A Quality Kayak Experience Made Easy
We enjoyed our kayak adventure very much. Our guide James was well informed and shared information about the wildlife, plant life, and the Banana River. We were able to observe dolphins on this tour. We were repeat customers and enjoyed it just as much as the first time. We would recommend this company and tour.
Response from the operator: So happy to have you back for another epic paddle with us! Also happy to hear James was able to offer some sweet facts about the area and the critters that live here. We can’t wait to welcome you out for another tour soon!

Awesome sunset kayak June 16, 2025
We are a family of 4 -daughters are 18 and 20. We did tandem kayaks and Brooke was our guide. I was a little nervous - I’ve never kayaked Brooke was very patient and encouraging. We had a great time and think we found a new hobbie as a family. The mangroves were beautiful in a creepy way. We covered ourselves in bug repellant before our excursion. Only place we saw mosquitos was in the mangroves. This was such a fun and memorable experience. Thank you Brooke!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We're stoked to hear your family had such a memorable time—and even more excited that you may have found a new hobby together! Brooke will be so happy to hear your kind words! We truly appreciate you joining us and hope to see you all out paddling again soon! 🤙😎

Views and Experience were amazing
Went on the sunset tour amd it was fantastic. Had stunning views before we went through the mangrove tunnels which were amazing. Our tour guide, Jeff, was friendly, knowledgeable and full of the best jokes to make the tour light and enjoyable. Highly recommend even of you have no experience kayaking as Jeff is was patient with our son showing him all the tips and tricks.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear you had a fantastic time on the sunset tour and enjoyed the stunning views and mangrove tunnels. We're especially glad your son felt comfortable and learned some kayaking tips along the way! We appreciate your recommendation and hope to see you all on another adventure soon! - Receptionist Josh 🤙😎

Why this scores 70
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Thousand Islands Mangrove Tunnel Sunset Kayak Tour with Cocoa Kayaking!: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cocoa Beach.
How much does Thousand Islands Mangrove Tunnel Sunset Kayak Tour with Cocoa Kayaking! cost?
+
Prices start at $134 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cocoa Beach usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Thousand Islands Mangrove Tunnel Sunset Kayak Tour with Cocoa Kayaking! take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cocoa Beach is not rushed.
Is Thousand Islands Mangrove Tunnel Sunset Kayak Tour with Cocoa Kayaking! worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 46 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cocoa Beach, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Thousand Islands Mangrove Tunnel Sunset Kayak Tour with Cocoa Kayaking!?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Thousand Islands Mangrove Tunnel Sunset Kayak Tour with Cocoa Kayaking! suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Thousand Islands Mangrove Tunnel Sunset Kayak Tour with Cocoa Kayaking!?
+
Around 16 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cocoa Beach can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cocoa Beach and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Thousand Islands Mangrove Tunnel Sunset Kayak Tour with Cocoa Kayaking! start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cocoa Beach within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cocoa Beach?
+
Cocoa Beach sells surf lessons, airboat rides on the St Johns, bioluminescent kayak paddles in summer and rocket launch viewing cruises, with Kennedy Space Center a short drive north. On Outty we rank every Cocoa Beach experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mangrove Tunnels, Dolphins, Manatee Tour #1 Rated in Cocoa Beach, Wizard of OZ Museum tour, Cocoa Beach Dolphin and Wildlife Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cocoa Beach?
+
March to May and September to November; check launch schedules before booking. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cocoa Beach?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
