One of the best parts of Sorrento
We spent such a fantastic afternoon with Chef Marisa and Salvatore. Chef Marisa absolutely loves what she does. She is incredibly patient with guests and just loves to teach people how to cook. She ensures that everyone has a chance to participate and work on their technique. Salvatore was a wonderful host, keeping us full of refreshments and filling the air with light music. Marisa regaled us with tales of her nonna’s cooking and taught us how to make true Napolitana pizza, focaccia, and tiramisu. All of them were fantastic. There was a focaccia with mozzarella, basil, and lemon zest that was everyone’s favorite. Even with us speaking broken Italian, thanks to Marisa and Salvatore’s English, the conversation was easy and fun (the included limoncello and wine probably helped). It was truly one of the best moments of our trip and well worth the price. I honestly would have expected to pay more given how professional the setting was, the level of teaching, and the quality of food.

Fantastic and unforgettable experience!
Participating in this cooking school was one of the most beautiful moments of our stay. From the very first moment, we were welcomed with great warmth and professionalism, making us feel at home. The lesson was engaging, fun, and well-organized. We learned to prepare typical dishes of the local tradition using fresh, quality ingredients, discovering many little culinary secrets that we will take with us. The instructors, Salvatore and Angelo, were knowledgeable, patient, and passionate, able to convey not only cooking techniques but also love for the territory and its culinary traditions. The final moment of tasting was truly special: savoring the dishes prepared with our own hands, accompanied by excellent wine, made the experience even more enjoyable. We recommend this cooking school to anyone who wishes to experience an authentic, fun, and flavor-rich experience. We will definitely return!

Title: A Must-Do Authentic Italian Cooking Experience in Sorrento – Outstanding Pasta & Meatballs Class with Chef Angelo
My experience at the Sorrento Cooking Academy was one of the absolute highlights of my trip to Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. If you are looking for an authentic Italian cooking class, a hands-on culinary experience, or the best cooking school in Sorrento, I cannot recommend this experience highly enough. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by a friendly and professional team who made everyone feel comfortable and excited to start cooking. The atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and genuinely Italian, creating the perfect environment for learning traditional recipes while having fun. Chef Angelo was exceptional. His passion for Italian cuisine, extensive knowledge, and engaging teaching style made the class both educational and entertaining. He patiently guided us through every step of the process, sharing authentic techniques, local traditions, and professional tips that we could easily recreate at home. The Pasta and Meatballs class was incredibly hands-on. We learned how to prepare fresh pasta from scratch using traditional methods and how to make authentic Italian meatballs with high-quality local ingredients. Every stage was explained clearly, allowing participants of all skill levels to follow along and enjoy the experience. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced home cook, you will learn valuable skills and gain a deeper appreciation for Italian culinary traditions. The class was perfectly organized and offered excellent value for money. The duration was ideal, giving us plenty of time to learn, cook, ask questions, and enjoy the final meal without ever feeling rushed. The small group size made the experience even better, as everyone received personal attention and had the opportunity to interact directly with Chef Angelo. One of the most memorable moments was sitting down together to enjoy the delicious dishes we had prepared ourselves. The quality of the ingredients, the authenticity of the recipes, and the sense of accomplishment made the meal truly special. What makes this cooking school stand out is its combination of professionalism, hospitality, authentic Italian culture, and genuine passion for teaching. This is much more than a cooking lesson—it is a cultural experience that allows visitors to connect with the traditions, flavors, and warmth of Southern Italy. I would highly recommend the Sorrento Cooking Academy to couples, families, solo travelers, groups of friends, food enthusiasts, and anyone looking for an unforgettable cooking class in Sorrento. If you want to learn how to make fresh pasta, discover authentic Italian recipes, and spend a wonderful few hours with a talented chef, this experience is absolutely worth booking. A heartfelt thank you to Chef Angelo and the entire team for an unforgettable day. I will always remember this experience and hope to return for another class in the future! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommended for anyone searching for the best cooking class in Sorrento, authentic Italian cooking lessons, fresh pasta making workshops, and traditional Italian food experiences.

Pizza Perfection with Italian Hospitality
The best pizza class ever! We did this because it was rainy and cold in normally beautiful Sorrento to fill the time but we lived out more than we ever thought possible! Marissa and Salvatore were warm and generous. The kitchen is magnifico and clean! The recipes sent to us after the class so need to write anything down! And the pizza and tiramisu were just perfection. What an amazing way to spend the afternoon! Grazie per tutto di nostra famiglia!

Sorrento Academy of Cooking: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Positano.
How much does Sorrento Academy of Cooking cost?
+
Prices start at $100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Positano usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Sorrento Academy of Cooking take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Positano is not rushed.
Is Sorrento Academy of Cooking worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Positano, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Sorrento Academy of Cooking?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Sorrento Academy of Cooking suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Sorrento Academy of Cooking?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Positano can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Positano and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Sorrento Academy of Cooking start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Positano within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Positano?
+
On Outty we rank every Positano experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cooking class with Pasta, mozzarella and Tiramisu with wine, Capri and Blue Grotto Semi Private Boat Day Trip from Sorrento, From Sorrento: Positano & Amalfi Coast Boat Tour with Pick Up. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Positano?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Positano?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
