Great tour, amazing tour guide!

Jose was our tour guide and he has a gift! My husband is a firefighter and he does not relax. Somehow, Jose was able to hone in on that and create an environment that broke through everything my husband carries with him so that by the end of the tour I saw a peace on my husbands face that rarely makes an appearance. I watched Jose with the younger people on our tour who were hesitant about some of the more adventurous aspects of our tour and I was amazed at his gentleness and encouragement though he never pushed too hard. He was knowledgable and fun. If you get a chance to tour with Jose, you are in for a treat!

Amazing experience, highly recommend!

Wow, what a great trip! Our guides were so fun and accommodating. Loved that they grew up in the area and provide a lot of background on the area. The cenote cave was amazing, we were not sure about that part but were so glad we went. The water was not too cold and it was a very unique experience. Thanks, Ricardo and Fabian! They also took great photos of us. Highly recommend.

Great Cenote Adventure

Great tour. Swimming and snorkeling in the cenotes and cave was amazing. Our tour included lunch at the end of the three swimming stops and lunch was delicious. The black beans and cochinita pibil were my favorite. Our tour guide Armando was great.

Underwhelming

Underwhelming. Nothing to see here. Don’t bother. Go to nearby Playa Akumal and swim with the turtles and have lunch/dinner on the beach

Snorkeling adventure in Yal-Kú lagoon, + Underground Cenote: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Playa del Carmen.

How much does Snorkeling adventure in Yal-Kú lagoon, + Underground Cenote cost?

+

Prices start at $129 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Playa del Carmen usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Snorkeling adventure in Yal-Kú lagoon, + Underground Cenote take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Playa del Carmen is not rushed.

Is Snorkeling adventure in Yal-Kú lagoon, + Underground Cenote worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Playa del Carmen, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Snorkeling adventure in Yal-Kú lagoon, + Underground Cenote?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Snorkeling adventure in Yal-Kú lagoon, + Underground Cenote suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 2. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Snorkeling adventure in Yal-Kú lagoon, + Underground Cenote?

+

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Playa del Carmen can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Playa del Carmen and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Snorkeling adventure in Yal-Kú lagoon, + Underground Cenote start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Playa del Carmen within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Playa del Carmen?

+

On Outty we rank every Playa del Carmen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include VIP Chichen Itza Private Tour, VIP Tulum Private Tour, Chichen Itza Private Tour VIP. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Playa del Carmen?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Playa del Carmen?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
