Awesome snorkeling spots, great equipment, top-notch guide
The snorkeling to three reefs was amazing. We saw part of the underwater museum, a ship wreck and many, many turtles! Fili and her crew knew exactly where to go to see the most fish and to be away from the crowd. She was very patient with the children in our group.
Response from the operator: We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed your time with us and had such a positive experience with Fili. Our team is dedicated to ensuring every detail is just right, and we’re glad it showed! Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts, and we look forward to hosting you again!

Total Scam - Do Not Use This Company!!
I must tell you that this tour was not at all what we expected or paid for. We did not do any of the tour mentioned reefs due to the fact that our tour guide, Mario and his colleague's boat was not in good working order with the motors. They took us to a place called I believe Villa Blanca and that was the only stop we had. We also had to ask about the promised lunch which was supposed to be at a beach club. Mario has an uncle that works at Mahi Mahi a local restaurant and he probably called in a favor for us to go there for lunch since the day was a total bust. The transportation was seriously messed up! Not sure what happened with the logistics of us being picked up at our hotel at the time they had told us, but we were eventually picked up and dropped off at our hotel thank goodness!! Their company used an outside transportation company which would have been useful information for knowing who is picking you up? I respectfully asked for a refund of our money as this whole excursion was not at all what we paid for. I have never had any issues with tours that I have booked through Viator and the communication with this particular company was very good until we addressed that the tour was not as expected. I would not recommend using this company for any excursions you are thinking about doing.

The snorkeling trip and reefs were great. The boat operators were good, they made a lovely ceviche lunch and had drinks for us. However....extra costs were not anticipated, Harbour fees, 3 hours of 'free time' in Cozumel where we were salty, hot, left to wait for a ferry on our own. Then some people missed the ferry back, we had another 1.5 hour wait without cash in hand. Then the bus was stuck on the highway while we waited another 2 hours on a dark back street for that transportation. 😒 very disappointed and exhausted by the time we got to our resort. 😬
Response from the operator: Hello Teresa! Thank you for your feedback. We're truly sorry that your experience didn’t meet your expectations. We strive to provide excellent service, and we regret that we missed the mark this time. Please reach out to us directly so we can address your concerns and work toward a solution.

Fun in the sun
The snorkeling was amazing 10 out of 10. Fhe tour guides were very helpful. After the snorkeling they took us to a beach club. Food was great. Drinks over price. They said we would send 3 hours at the beach club included. After 2 hours requested a tax back to our original pick up. 30 min later taxied showed up. Only thing I would do different is skip the beach club.
Response from the operator: Hello Calvin! We are pleased to hear that you had a great adventure with us! Thank you for your feedback, which helps us to continue providing the best service with the high quality our guests deserve. We hope to see you again soon.

Why this scores 49
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Snorkel in El Cielo Cozumel Reef with Lunch, Beach and Transport: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tulum.
How much does Snorkel in El Cielo Cozumel Reef with Lunch, Beach and Transport cost?
+
Prices start at $175 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tulum usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Snorkel in El Cielo Cozumel Reef with Lunch, Beach and Transport take?
+
Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tulum is not rushed.
Is Snorkel in El Cielo Cozumel Reef with Lunch, Beach and Transport worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 49 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tulum, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Snorkel in El Cielo Cozumel Reef with Lunch, Beach and Transport?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Snorkel in El Cielo Cozumel Reef with Lunch, Beach and Transport suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Snorkel in El Cielo Cozumel Reef with Lunch, Beach and Transport?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tulum can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tulum and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Snorkel in El Cielo Cozumel Reef with Lunch, Beach and Transport start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tulum within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tulum?
+
On Outty we rank every Tulum experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tulum Ruins, Turtles in Akumal and Cenote tour, Tulum Guided Tour, Magical Cenote, Lagoon Snorkeling and Beachside Lunch, Chichén Itzá, Cenote and Valladolid with Lunch and transportation. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tulum?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tulum?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
