    Great tour with Leroy!

First and foremost, Leroy was a fantastic tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about the areas we were visiting and gave us some interesting history and legend/saga background about the places we visited. He also was very friendly and pleasant to talk to, and happy to answer any questions we had throughout the day. If you do the Snæfellsnes tour, I would recommend trying to sit on the right side of the vehicle, as that will give much better views throughout the day. There is one seat on that side per row, however. I would recommend this tour for anyone who likes scenic places and doesn't mind being in a vehicle for multiple hours.

Response from the operator: Dear guest, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are delighted to hear that you had such a great time exploring the Snæfellsnes Peninsula with Leroy. It is fantastic to know that you enjoyed his knowledge of the area's history, folklore, and legends, as well as his friendly and approachable manner throughout the day. We also appreciate you sharing your helpful tip for future travellers about the best views from the vehicle. We will be sure to pass along your kind words to Leroy, who will be delighted to hear them. Thank you for your recommendation, and we hope to welcome you back to Iceland again in the future. Gon is an excellent driver and tour guide

Gon was a warm, welcoming and enthusiastic host. His narrative and music program made the rides between sites a pleasure. This tour has some long driving…90 minutes. He kept the car quiet and respected our need to relax on the almost two hour drive drive back to Reykjavík. He personally helped me greatly by arranging to let me overcome a missed pickup by letting me join him at the first stop, still in town. He is an outstanding driver and host.

Response from the operator: Dear Paul, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are delighted to hear that you had such an enjoyable day exploring the Snæfellsnes Peninsula with Goncalo. It is fantastic to know that his warm and welcoming approach, engaging narration, music, and thoughtful driving helped make the long journey so comfortable. We are especially pleased that he was able to help you after your missed pickup and ensure you could still enjoy the tour. We will be sure to pass along your kind words to Goncalo, who will be delighted to hear them. Thank you for travelling with us, and we hope to welcome you back to Iceland again in the future. Fantastic day out

We had a great day out. Our guide EW David was brilliant. He even changed the tyre when our minibus got a flat, then kept to the itinerary too, meaning he had a longer day to work. Being English, his spoken English was obviously perfect, which made things easier for us. The meal was good - plenty of variety and delicious. We saw many beautiful and interesting sights. My only slight gripe was that I could have done with a bit more legroom on the minibus (I have long legs!)

Response from the operator: Dear Janet, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are delighted to hear that you had such a great day exploring the Snæfellsnes Peninsula with David. It is fantastic to know that, even after dealing with an unexpected flat tyre, he was able to keep the tour on track and ensure everyone still enjoyed the full experience. We are also pleased that you enjoyed the homemade meal and the many beautiful sights along the way. Thank you as well for your helpful feedback about the legroom, which we appreciate and will keep in mind. We will be sure to pass along your kind words to David. We hope to welcome you back to Iceland again in the future. Kind Regards, Clare EastWest Team Member

The perfect trip..at least til now 😉

OMG. Simon the hot Wiking, you so made even this trip with your not-so-good jokes and stories (yes, that was just a joke, you were and are still hilarious! 🤗). The trip itself got a sunny and warm day, and it was very nice to see how this side of the island looked like. And I have to say, Snæfellsnes Peninsula won over the South Coast 🤭 All in all, the group size was perfect, and there was actually nothing that went bad. This was a perfect trip! Thank you!

Response from the operator: Dear Maria, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are delighted to hear that your Snæfellsnes Peninsula tour was such a perfect experience. It is fantastic to know that Simon's humour, stories, and positive energy made the day even more enjoyable, and that the sunny weather allowed you to experience the peninsula at its very best. We love hearing that Snæfellsnes won you over, and we will be sure to pass along your kind words to Simon. Thank you for travelling with us, and we hope to welcome you back to Iceland again in the future. Kind Regards, Clare EastWest Team Member

Snaefellsnes Small Group Tour with Homemade Meal from Reykjavik: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Reykjavik.

How much does Snaefellsnes Small Group Tour with Homemade Meal from Reykjavik cost?

    +

Prices start at $233 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Reykjavik usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Snaefellsnes Small Group Tour with Homemade Meal from Reykjavik take?

    +

Plan for about 11 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Reykjavik is not rushed.

Is Snaefellsnes Small Group Tour with Homemade Meal from Reykjavik worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 89 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 875 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Reykjavik, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Snaefellsnes Small Group Tour with Homemade Meal from Reykjavik?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Snaefellsnes Small Group Tour with Homemade Meal from Reykjavik suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 11-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Snaefellsnes Small Group Tour with Homemade Meal from Reykjavik?

    +

Around 306 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Reykjavik can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Reykjavik and add a light layer if any part of the 11-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Snaefellsnes Small Group Tour with Homemade Meal from Reykjavik start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Reykjavik within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Reykjavik?

    +

On Outty we rank every Reykjavik experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Reykjavik Food Walk - Local Foodie Adventure in Iceland, Small-Group Golden Circle, Blue Lagoon with Ticket & Kerid Crater, Reykjavík Small group Walking Tour - by CityWalk. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Reykjavik?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Reykjavik?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
