Here you’ll have time to admire the roaring two-tiered cascade as it plunges into the rugged canyon below — a true highlight of the Golden Circle. Take a short break to stretch your legs, snap some unforgettable photos, or visit the nearby café and restroom facilities before the next adventure begins. From Gullfoss, we trade paved roads for mountain trails as our Super Jeep climbs into the Icelandic Highlands. The scenery transforms into a remote, snow-covered wilderness as we approach Langjökull Glacier, Iceland’s second-largest ice cap. At the glacier base camp, your expert snowmobile guide provides all the necessary gear and safety instructions. 2. Kjalvegur

   Leaving the thunderous Gullfoss waterfall behind, the adventure continues as we turn onto the rugged Kjalvegur mountain road, one of Iceland’s oldest highland routes. The paved road quickly gives way to gravel and snow-covered tracks, and the Super Jeep’s true power begins to shine. As we ascend into the highlands, the landscape transforms dramatically — from valleys to vast stretches of volcanic desert, with lava fields, glacial rivers, and distant mountain peaks. The drive toward Geldingafell, the base for our Langjökull Glacier snowmobile tour, is an experience in itself. The silence of the highlands, broken only by the crunch of snow beneath the tires, creates an atmosphere of pure wilderness. On clear days, you can see the shimmering ice cap of Langjökull rising ahead — our ultimate destination. 3. Langjokull Glacier

   Upon arrival at Geldingafell base camp, nestled on the edge of Langjökull Glacier, it’s time to gear up for the adventure ahead. Your experienced snowmobile guides will provide all the necessary equipment — warm overalls, gloves, helmets, and balaclavas — ensuring you stay comfortable and safe on the ice. After a short but thorough safety briefing, you’ll learn how to operate the snowmobiles and what to expect out on the glacier. Then the real excitement begins! You’ll set off on an hour-long snowmobile ride across the white expanse of Langjökull Glacier, surrounded by breathtaking panoramic views of Iceland’s highlands, distant volcanic peaks, and endless snowfields. The feeling of gliding over the frozen landscape is pure freedom — a highlight of the Snowmobile tour. After the ride, we return to Geldingafell, where you can change out of your gear, warm up, and take a short toilet break before we begin our scenic journey back down the highlands toward Gullfoss and the Golden Circle.

4. Kjalvegur

   After completing the exhilarating snowmobile ride on Langjökull Glacier, we begin our scenic descent from Geldingafell base camp back toward the lowlands. The drive along Kjalvegur mountain road offers a completely new perspective — the vast white glacier slowly gives way to rugged highland terrain, dotted with black lava fields, moss-covered hills, and winding glacial rivers. As we make our way down, the dramatic contrasts of Iceland’s landscape unfold before your eyes — from icy peaks to green valleys and steaming geothermal plains. Our Super Jeep handles the mountain tracks with ease, ensuring a smooth and comfortable journey as we return to the famous Geysir geothermal area. This is the perfect spot to stretch your legs and grab a coffee or a snack while watching the Strokkur geyser erupt every few minutes, shooting boiling water high into the air. After the thrill of the glacier, the warmth and energy of Geysir.

5. Leaving the steaming hot springs of Geysir behind, we continue our journey through the scenic countryside toward Þingvellir National Park, the final stop on our Golden Circle Snowmobile tour. The drive offers peaceful views of rolling farmland, volcanic ridges, and distant mountain peaks — a gentle contrast to the wild highlands you explored earlier in the day. Along the way, your guide shares fascinating stories, adding depth to the landscape that unfolds outside your window. As we arrive at Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you’ll immediately understand why this place holds such deep meaning for Icelanders. It’s here that the world’s first democratic parliament was founded over a thousand years ago, and where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates drift apart, creating a dramatic rift valley. Enjoy the breathtaking views over Thingvallavatn Lake, and capture the final memorable photos of your Golden Circle adventure before we return to Reykjavik.
