Today’s tour of Cascais and Sintra and everything in between was amazing! Miguel was our tour guide and he was awesome, super friendly and considerate, caring and knowledgeable of the history and locations we went to. We stopped at a few more places since we had time - Boca de Inferno, Cabo de Roca, Azenas de Mar beach, and within Sintra village. The suggested lunch place was really good too. We had an excellent day and highly recommend this tour to Sintra and Cascais!

Sintra and the magical, magnificent Pena Palace
My husband and I took a tour of Sintra with Hugo today. What a fun and wonderful tour! Hugo picked us up with two other couples and he drove us to Sintra. The van was comfortable and clean with ample room for us all. When we arrived in Sintra we had time for a delicious Portuguese pastry and cafe. We were able to meander through the pretty winding streets of Sintra and browse the shops, too. We then drove to Pena Palace and saw the beautiful Romantic Gothic architecture with Moorish and German influences . Surrounded by the lush green tall trees and adorned with beautiful colorful tiles reminiscent of the Portuguese heritage,Pena Palace is a piece of paradise not to be missed when visiting Portugal. When you take this tour, you should ask for Hugo. He is personable and caring and has a passion for what he does. He is very knowledgeable about Portuguese and the Sintra city heritage, history, architecture, and culture. We learned so much today and enjoyed our trip immensely. Hugo never rushed us and was always conscientious. respectful, friendly, and very down to earth. He was engaging and kept us interested throughout. We even got to see a little bit of the park too, after our tour of the palace was finished. We were blown away by the aesthetics of this palace but even more impressed by Hugo's manners and the amount of info he shared with us about Sintra, the royal families, and the Pena Palace itself. Thank you Hugo for your amazing tour! I highly recommend this tour to others, young and old, Portuguese and non Portuguese people. Enjoy!!! You will receive the 5 star treatment!
