Excellent Private Lisbon Half-Day Tour with a Fantastic Local Guide
Francisco was an excellent guide for our visit to Sintra. He was flexible, genuine and incredibly experienced, helping us navigate the busy tourist attractions and make the most of our time without feeling as though we were constantly rushing. His local knowledge and understanding of the logistics made a real difference, allowing us to see and experience a great deal in a relatively short visit. We particularly appreciated his flexibility and willingness to work with our interests, as well as his wider knowledge of the surrounding area. He also offered valuable recommendations beyond the tour itself, helping us make the most of our time in Portugal. Sintra is somewhere we would love to explore further, and having a guide with Francisco’s experience made our visit all the more worthwhile. I would highly recommend him to anyone planning a trip to Sintra, and we would happily work with him again. A great experience, made even better by supporting a knowledgeable local guide and independent business!
Response from the operator: Thank you very much, Kalle. I'm so glad you enjoyed the experience. Lisbon and Sintra are surely not to be missed. It truly was a pleasure to meet you both. You're always very welcome in Lisbon. Muito obrigado! Francisco

Unforgettable trip to Sintra and beyond
Our half day trip from Lisbon to Sintra and Cascais was absolutely flawless, and that is entirely thanks to our incredible guide, Francisco. From the very moment he picked us up right on time, we knew we were in for fun times. Francisco is a kind, knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly funny gentleman who anticipated and took care of our every need. His van was super comfortable, making the travel between stops a total breeze. He gave my mom and me the perfect amount of time to explore the stunning Sintra Palace and wander through the beautiful town. A major highlight was his recommendation to visit the famous Piriquita pastry shop—the pastries there are amazing and not to be missed! The drive back was pure magic. Francisco took us via Cabo Raso right by the ocean, and we drove along the breathtaking coastline all the way back to Lisbon, catching glimpses of the stunning town of Cascais along the way. If you are looking for a guide who is professional, deeply knowledgeable, and wonderful company, look no further than Francisco. My mom and I cannot thank him enough for creating such a beautiful, stress-free, and memorable experience for us. Highest possible recommendation!
Response from the operator: Thank you very much, Anupam. I'm so glad you enjoyed the experience. It truly was a pleasure to meet you both. You're always welcome in Lisbon. Muito obrigado! Francisco

Very Knowledgeable & Accommodating Guide.
Francisco has in depth knowledge of Portuguese history and culture. He had excellent recommendations for dealing with the inclement weather so we thoroughly enjoyed our tour. These included where to visit and special cafe for coffee and pastries. He made photo stops as requested even in difficult places.

+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Sintra?

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
