About this experience
Experience breathtaking panoramic views while discovering the palaces, mountains, and coastline of Sintra on a guided tour aboard a classic Portuguese 4x4. Begin your adventure in the Sintra Mountains, exploring all the palaces, including Pena Palace, the Moorish Castle and Quinta da Regaleira, where we’ll stop at stunning viewpoints to share the history behind each landmark. In the afternoon, we head to the Sintra coastline, visiting hidden beaches and cliffs, including Azenhas do Mar. Our journey continues to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost of Europe, where you can enjoy panoramic views over the Atlantic Ocean and the Sintra coastline before returning to Sintra. We can finish in the Sintra city center or at a local restaurant, offering from local Portuguese food to fresh seafood, with or without ocean views. Note: The decision to visit any palace is entirely yours, but it’s recommended to visit just one so we don’t rush anything, as the whole tour is customizable.

Incredible tour of Sintra through a local's perspective!
My friends and I were blown away by the quality of Tiago's tour. We can't recommend it enough! Tiago himself was very communicative, welcoming, and knowledgeable. As a local, Tiago knew all the back roads, best views, when to pull over for a photo, how to avoid the crowds, and where to have a great lunch. He was able to optimize our route to show us the town of Sintra, all the main properties, palaces, and points of interest. Tiago explained the history of each site along the way, and answered any/all questions we had about the region. It was the drive along the coast of Sintra that really impressed us though. The views were stunning and we went a bit off the beaten path, which felt really special. Throughout the tour, Tiago also adjusted to our interests. He injected options like a scenic walk, additional beach views, and pointed out local flora/fauna; sharing many funny stories along the way. We had also asked to end at Pena Palace so we could do a tour there. He helped us choose a time slot and get there on time. We learned tons and had a blast! The jeep was perfect for seeing 360° views and popping up for a photo. We would give 11 stars if we could :) Thanks so much!!

Amazing Way to See Sintra
Tiago was an outstanding guide and driver for our private tour of Sintra and Cascais in his classic blue jeep — we had an incredible day! He picked us up and took us through the beautiful landscapes of Sintra with ease, sharing interesting stories and local insights along the way. The jeep was perfect for the winding mountain roads and made the whole experience feel adventurous and fun. Tiago chose a fantastic spot for lunch — the food was delicious and exactly what we needed after exploring. The highlight was driving up into the mountains to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of mainland Europe. The views were breathtaking, and Tiago made sure we had plenty of time to take it all in. Highlight of our trip
Our tour with Tiago was one of the top highlights of our 3+ week vacation. Tiago was so knowledgeable about his hometown of Sintra and took us throughout the entire city from the castles in the forest to the cliffs off the coast and everything in between. He engaged with my kids and ensured we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. Tiago’s Jeep tour is a must if you plan to visit Sintra. We look forward to one day experiencing this tour again!
