What you get

    About this experience

Sintra has a lot to see and although the town is small, its planning makes it complex to visit for those who don't know it. As well as knowing all the nooks and crannies, we know the tricks to make the most of your time. Even though our tour is very well-rounded, it's not exhausting, as we take care to balance the time spent traveling with the time spent visiting. We are storytellers, we like to be precise with the information shared but add humor, drama, and interaction with the group. To have this close interaction and adjust to the needs of the group, we prefer to work with small groups. In addition to all of the above, we guarantee the visit to two of Sintra's iconic monuments: Quinta da Regaleira and Palacio da Pena. As well as the visit to the westernmost point of the European continent and a passage along the Portuguese Riviera.

A Wonderful introduction to highlights of Portugal

Alexandra was the best, by far, of any tour guide I’ve ever encountered in my lifetime and I’ve traveled widely. She provided us with a great historical overview of Portugal, took us to places we would have never found on our own and exhibited wonderful patience as we wanted to take countless photos and wander into various tourist shops. She gave generously of her time and went above and beyond our expectations. She drives exceptionally well, summed up our physical capabilities and always managed to park where it wasn’t too difficult for 70 year olds to navigate. Alexandra’s English is perfect! In addition she is extremely well read and knowledgeable of world affairs and we were able to enjoy some lively discussions. After spending two days with her, parting ways was like leaving family behind. I would unhesitatingly recommend her for tours around Portugal. My only regret is that she wasn’t our guide throughout our Portugal stay.

Exploring with someone who knows and cares about what you’re seeing.

Alexandra was a highly experienced tour guide who focused on her guests’ enjoyment and learning. She was personable, responsive, and articulate. She helped us understand the nuances of what we were seeing, such as the cultural, economic, and political significance of features we observed on buildings and in parks. She clearly loves her work and is a consummate professional. She navigates the crowds of tourists and sometimes crowded roads with grace and sophistication. We highly recommend her and this tour.

    Day trip Lisbon

Good details , beyond architectural existence. We had fanatstic time with Vasco ,who not only showed around the places but we got to know the Stories around it ... he never told us when this was built rather it was more about what influences ,world circumstances it had . That was more than just physical feel of the monument. Thanks Vasco, we had gr8 time, very polite yet witty a whole day ,tour -it was made interesting,,thanks to the comfort he brought in .

    A Fabulous Experience

Alexandra was exceptional and we highly recommend her. We had a private tour of Sintra and Cascais. She picked us up at the cruise terminal and dropped us off at our accommodation. Her knowledge of these areas is excellent. She was very easy to understand and maneuvered around crowds quickly to areas where we could converse. She was flexible with the schedule as we did encounter intermittent rain and we chose not to walk some areas due to weather conditions. We had an amazing lunch at a Seaside restaurant in Sintra - Buzio. Do not miss this seafood oriented gem . The food and service were superb. We enjoyed Dover sole, prawns, garlic rice and perfectly cooked vegetables. Her vehicle was spotless and she drove with safety and care. We hired her for additional days after this positive experience.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.

How much does Sintra, Cascais & Cabo da Roca Full Day Tour from Lisbon cost?

    +

Prices start at $449 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Sintra, Cascais & Cabo da Roca Full Day Tour from Lisbon take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.

Is Sintra, Cascais & Cabo da Roca Full Day Tour from Lisbon worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Sintra, Cascais & Cabo da Roca Full Day Tour from Lisbon?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Sintra, Cascais & Cabo da Roca Full Day Tour from Lisbon suitable for kids and families?

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Sintra, Cascais & Cabo da Roca Full Day Tour from Lisbon?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Sintra, Cascais & Cabo da Roca Full Day Tour from Lisbon start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Lisbon?

    +

On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lisbon?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lisbon?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
