Great family day in Sintra
Excellent experience from start to finish. Very quick and easy booking process through WhatsApp, and super accommodating of our starting point. Our guide, Pedro, connected with us a few days before the tour. We were traveling with elderly parents, and Pedro tailored the day to our interests while being mindful of the super hilly Sintra! He stayed with my in-laws when they weren't up to doing the well at Regaleira while my husband and I went through. He was a careful driver (not an easy feat on those narrow, winding roads), had a lovely sense of humor, and took some seriously cool pictures of our group. We ended the tour buying the typical cheese pastries right from the back door of the factory:) We could not have wished for a better guide to Sintra.

Private tour of Lisbon and area
This is the second time we have had a private tour in Portugal with Walkboarder and had Pedro as our guide!! He is AMAZING! So knowledgeable and helpful! You can let him plan the entire tour or tell him the highlights you would like to see and he will build what he can into the tour! The price for the entire vehicle of up to 6 people was AMAZING (Seriously the MOST AFFORDABLE private tour you will ever take)! Included cruise port pick up and drop off. We also had a mobility scooter and there was plenty of space in the back to store it. Pedro also loaded and unloaded it when he didn’t have to! I highly recommend Walkboarder tours and get Pedro if you can! Communication was quick and prompt for every email I sent, easy digital payment. I will definitely be using them when I get back to Portugal!!

Private tour from Lisbon to Sintra castle Cascais
We took a private tour of Sintra , Cascais and Estoril . Our driver Paula is an amazing person. She was prompt, courteous cheerful ,and never short of local stories and lore. Sintra castle was beautiful! Portugal is a beautiful country and people are nice. Will definitely be back!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for such a kind review! We are thrilled to hear that you had an amazing time exploring the magic of Sintra, Cascais, and Estoril with us. Paula is indeed a fantastic professional and a wonderful person. We will make sure to share your glowing feedback with her; she will be delighted to know that her cheerfulness and local stories made your day so special. Hearing that our "lore" added that extra layer to your visit to the Pena Palace makes us very proud. Portugal is a country that loves to welcome people, and we are so happy you felt that warmth. We will be waiting for your return to show you even more of our beautiful country! Best regards,

Great tour
We had a wonderful tour with Ruben. He was knowledgeable and friendly. He also had great stories to add to the tour, and he provided us with some great food recommendations as well. He helped adjust the tour so we didn't need to repeat what we'd already seen and we were able to spend more time where we preferred. We highly recommend both Ruben and Walkborder Tours!

Why this scores 85
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Sintra Cascais and Estoril Private Tour From Lisbon: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.
How much does Sintra Cascais and Estoril Private Tour From Lisbon cost?
+
Prices start at $90 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Sintra Cascais and Estoril Private Tour From Lisbon take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.
Is Sintra Cascais and Estoril Private Tour From Lisbon worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 85 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 279 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Sintra Cascais and Estoril Private Tour From Lisbon?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Sintra Cascais and Estoril Private Tour From Lisbon suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Sintra Cascais and Estoril Private Tour From Lisbon?
+
Around 98 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Sintra Cascais and Estoril Private Tour From Lisbon start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lisbon?
+
On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lisbon?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lisbon?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
