    Best-of-the-best! Must-do when in Lisbon!

Phenomenal tour which highlighted Sintra’s must-see spots. Visited not only the key Sintra landmarks but also got to see the coast and local hangouts. João was the best tour guide, he was extremely insightful and knowledgeable on all things related to Sintra and overall Portugal’s history. He was accommodating to the my needs and flexible with our plans, allowing more or less time at each stop depending on my interests. I’d suggest this to anyone looking for an exciting day trip outside the city and who wants to enjoy the great outdoors. Thanks João!!

Response from the operator: Thank you for such an incredible review! We’re truly delighted to hear that your Sintra tour was phenomenal and that you were able to experience both the iconic landmarks and the stunning coastline. That balance between must-see highlights and local gems is exactly what we aim to deliver. João will be so happy to read your kind words. His knowledge, flexibility, and genuine dedication to tailoring each experience make all the difference — and we’re glad he adapted the day to match your interests perfectly. Thank you as well for recommending the tour to others. It means a great deal to us. We hope to welcome you back for another adventure soon! Adriana

I Took a Tuk Tuk - private van Sintra tour with 2 young adult sons. They loved our guide!

John was such an excellent guide - what a gentleman and so incredibly knowledgeable! My two adult sons and husband asked questions about EVERYTHING Portugal for 8 straight hours (sports, history, traditions, culture, economics)- and John answered them all with so much information and enthusiasm! My family had an absolutely incredible day - thank you John!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the incredible review! We are delighted to hear that João was such a gentleman and the perfect match for your family's curiosity. Answering questions for 8 hours straight is no small feat, and we’re thrilled that his enthusiasm for everything from Portuguese sports to economics made the day so memorable for your husband and sons. It was truly a pleasure to have you all with us! 🇵🇹✨ -Rafael B.

    Pena Palace Tour

We had already used I Took a Tuk Tuk for a tour around Lisbon which was fantastic so was really looking forward to a private tour of Sintra, Pena Palace and Cabo Da Roca. The guide we had for the day was Miguel. He was so entertaining and knowledgeable about the sites we visited. But went above and beyond to give further information to enhance the day. The company booked a restaurant in Sintra which was excellent for lunch after the palace. We then visited Azenhas do Mar on the coast and also the most westerly point in Europe which is Cabo da Roca. A really full day which everybody agreed was great value for money with the added benefit of having Miguel as our guide.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear that, after your Lisbon tour, your day in Sintra with Miguel lived up to expectations. He’ll be so pleased to know you appreciated not only his knowledge but also the extra touches he added throughout the day. We're glad the lunch in Sintra and the scenic stops at Azenhas do Mar and Cabo da Roca made the experience even more special. It means a lot to us that you found the tour to be great value — we’d love to welcome you back anytime! Adriana, general manager itookatuktuk team

Sintra & Cabo da Roca - Private Van Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.

How much does Sintra & Cabo da Roca - Private Van Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $70 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Sintra & Cabo da Roca - Private Van Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.

Is Sintra & Cabo da Roca - Private Van Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 28 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Sintra & Cabo da Roca - Private Van Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Sintra & Cabo da Roca - Private Van Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Sintra & Cabo da Roca - Private Van Tour?

    +

Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Sintra & Cabo da Roca - Private Van Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Lisbon?

    +

On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lisbon?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lisbon?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
