WARY OF GUIDE ALEXANDER - PROMISES AND DOES NOT KEEP
We had booked a full day visit to Sintra for the day 27 June 24. No one shows up at the appointment (9 a.m.). I contact the Alessandro Guide who tells us that due to a problem with their systems they had memorized the date of July 27, 2024. At that point (irritated) I ask to find a solution (assumed the refund of the tour already paid for 355 euros). I am expected to do the tour the next day, but the next day in the afternoon we had the flight back to Italy. At that point we are offered to do the next day half a day tour (morning only) and take the flight in the afternoon with a promise to receive a partial refund of the half day of the tour not used. We accept this solution even if reluctantly given the incredible disservice they have created for us. In essence, the partial refund was never credited to us (almost 4 months have passed) despite the various phone calls, messages and broken promises. Even the “subject” Alessandro told us that the bank transfer was disguided (statement from “poor”). Initially the amount he promised us was 100 euros (really little), then later he talked about 60 euros. However, not a penny was ever received. I did some research on the net and found that these situations have been repeated other times: it is practically a system used by this shameful character. Finally, I point out that the contact was created by a Trips Agency, which as soon as it heard about the disruption created tried to solicit in every way the Guide to proceed with the transfer for the part of the tour not used. Nothing to do. At this point, the Trips Agency has permanently cut off commercial relations with the character in question. I think this is more than significant. Steer clear of this character Alessandro Varisco
Response from the operator: Gentile signore le assicuriamo che procederemo per via giudiziaria per tutela del nostro nome. non solo il mio ma quello dell'agenzia.

Wonderful Lisbon with Alessandro and his team
We visited Lisbon with Alessandro. Excellent. He picked us up by car with his assistant Sandro and this service was very convenient because while we were visiting a part of the city Sandro with the car could already be found at the next stop and this is very advantageous taking into account that Lidbona is located on 7 hills so it's all up and down. Alessandro alternated cultural and historical moments with lighter ones for example by taking us to taste the pastries from Belém in the only pastry shop that makes them according to the original recipe. Highly recommended
Response from the operator: Carissimi è stato un grande piacere avervi come ospiti. Una piacevole giornata passata in compagnia alla scoperta della bella Lisbona. Anche Sanderson vi saluta tantissimo

Magnificent landscapes
Fantastic tour. Sintra is beautiful, the Quinta de Regaleira is a fascinating place. Cabo de roca offers a unique panorama. Our guides Mattia and Douglas were very good at telling us anecdotes about these fantastic places!

Visit the historic center of Sintra, Quinta Regaliera and Castelo dos Mouros di Sintra and go to Cabo do Roca. Speed to Boca do Inferno and Cascais
Response from the operator: Grazie mille a voi

Booking cancelled by them and no alternative
SHAMEFUL They canceled our visit two days before without even proposing alternatives. Motivation? Vehicle has broken down. We had booked through get your guide, we got their contact details. We saw that the same tours were actually available in the afternoon and the day after our reservation, so we asked them directly to move the date since the one booked was no longer available... It was not possible. And now the price has increased by 30€ per person (the tour is always the same eh). Probably the price at which we had bought it was too low and so we were canceled the reservation... not caring about everything and ruining the first day of a long-organized holiday. What about it? Shameful and unreliable

Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Sintra and Cabo da Roca Day Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.
How much does Sintra and Cabo da Roca Day Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $55 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Sintra and Cabo da Roca Day Tour take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.
Is Sintra and Cabo da Roca Day Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 21 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Sintra and Cabo da Roca Day Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Sintra and Cabo da Roca Day Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Sintra and Cabo da Roca Day Tour?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Sintra and Cabo da Roca Day Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lisbon?
+
On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lisbon?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lisbon?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
