Great Tour and Tour Guide!
Antonio was most knowledgable, friendly, and great to interact with. He was especially patient and helpful to us as we were traveling with an 11 month old and five year old. We would do the same tour all over again.

Thank you!
This was one of the nicest tours I’ve been on! Antonio expertly took care of our multigenerational family of eight. He calmly navigated narrow streets with a huge van, shared historical facts and local insights, and thoughtfully answered our questions. Even more than being a knowledgeable guide, he is a very kind human being. I think we can credit him for my family’s love of Portugal. Thank you!

Awesome tour of Lisbon= Antonio Matos
I highly recommend tour guide Antonio Matos if you are looking for a tour in Lisbon. Antonio was actually recommended to us by my cousin who was fortunate enough to have Antonio as a tour guide last year. We did a half day tour of the general layout of Lisbon after we arrived late from the train station. The next day we did a full day tour of Sintra and Cascais. Antonio is a wealth of information and knows so much about the history of Portugal. Antonio was professional, friendly, flexible, and always game to answer all of our questions. He had food recommendations and local favorites. We travelled in an air conditioned sprinter van, which was great to ride in with the summer heat. If you are looking for a tour in Lisbon, Antonio Matos is who you are looking for!

Highly personalized, informational, and comfortable!
We booked a half-day tour of Lisbon and full-day tour of Sintra/Cascais with Antonio. Leading up to the tour, Antonio’s experience and responsiveness helped develop a customized itinerary to meet our needs. When our arrival by train was delayed, Antonio closely tracked the situation and arranged pickup and transfer to our accommodations, and adjusted the schedule to make the most of our shortened time. The next morning, we started out bright and early to Sintra/Cascais. Antonio clearly understood the latest ticket, traffic, and parking processes to enable a smooth and leisurely pace. The Sprinter Van was spacious and clean to accommodate our family of 8, and Antonio’s driving careful and expert to get us through the day safely and comfortably. Antonio shared a breadth of history, information, and personal background in a cheerful, engaging, and patient manner that made us feel like equal partners in the day’s sightseeing, dining, and events.

Antonio was an incredible guide! Highly recommend.
Our experience with Antonio was amazing. He went above and beyond to ensure our time in Sintra was comfortable. We had 3 passengers with mobility issues and he maneuvered the entire day to make sure everything was good for them. I can’t recommend him enough. He’s truly a wonderful person and we all felt very taken care of. He’s also super knowledgeable about history and it was fascinating to learn about all of that!

Why this scores 78
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Sintra and Cascais Full-Day Private Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.
How much does Sintra and Cascais Full-Day Private Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $350 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Sintra and Cascais Full-Day Private Tour take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.
Is Sintra and Cascais Full-Day Private Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 269 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Sintra and Cascais Full-Day Private Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Sintra and Cascais Full-Day Private Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Sintra and Cascais Full-Day Private Tour?
+
Around 94 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Sintra and Cascais Full-Day Private Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lisbon?
+
On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lisbon?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lisbon?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
