Do not book this tour!
Tour company was unresponsive and wouldn't confirm and viator did not help. Tried to cancel but viator refused to issue a refund.

Got to Cancun airport and our transfer with Viator was no good
I need to get a refund I did not get my transfer after paying and getting vouchers The nexus company you scheduled us with did not have any record of our transfer and they said that Viator had not paid them any money and they had no record of any reservation or any transfer for us. I showed them my voucher. I talked to them for 20 minutes. They said they could not take us anywhere because Vidor had not booked through them. We had to find another taxi at the airport and get our own transportation to the ferry because you booked our transfer to playa Mujeres and I told the agent we had to go to the ferry to get to Cozumel and they said that was the transfer. Actually, the transfer is to playa Del Carmen. And Nexus doesn't even go there. . I am still in Mexico, but will be home tomorrow and will be calling via tour because we need a refund because their transfer was no good and we did not get a transfer through Viator so it was a disaster at the airport

Horrible experience
There is nothing like going on vacation and being stranded in the airport and someone always telling you not to go with someone you don’t know but the company you booked being of no assistance telling you that the reservation had not been booked —They weren’t expecting you OR they had no ride for… in the HEAT !! I started recording one of the employees and then all of a sudden they were able to find a ride… I missed enjoying lunch with my family as all of the restaurants were closed when I finally arrived and checked in and about three hours of my vacation … i always ays book excursions and transportation through via tour, but never again with this company nexus to tours!!!

Great Experience & Excursions at the Royalton Riviera Cancun!
Our family had a great experience this Christmas Holiday for our vacation from Toronto to Royalton Riviera Cancun in Mexico! We had the pleasure of staying there for 7 days in sunny beach weather. The service was amazying and we really enjoyed their hospitality. We like to personally thank our Nexus Tours agent Mario Coba for doing an outstanding job at booking us in and getting us on our excursions! Kudos!
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Your comment sincerely moves us! Our entire team is delighted to have contributed to making your trip special. We truly appreciate your trust and hope to welcome you back very soon. With our best regards, Alejandro Vazquez – Senior Director of Customer Success. NexusTours.

Isla mujures day
I was lucky to have Diego from Nexus Tours as our representative, and we were truly impressed by his professionalism and kindness. He always took great care of us, taking the time to answer our questions, give us helpful advice, and make sure we had the best experience possible. He even managed to get us a reduced rate for our activity, which we really appreciated! We also loved how attentive he was to our feedback and how available he made himself. A small detail that made a big difference: he even came to say goodbye before our activity, showing how much he truly cares about his clients. Thank you, Diego Hernandez for your precious help!!! We highly recommend your service with Nexus Tours! 🌟

It’s great to know he went above and beyond to ensure you had an amazing experience and even helped secure a reduced rate for your activity. We’ll be sure to share your kind words with Diego — he’ll be delighted! Thanks again for recommending Nexus Tours, and we hope to assist you on many more adventures in the future! 🌟😊 Alejandro Vazquez – Senior Director of Customer Success. NexusTours.

Why this scores 48
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Shared Transportation From Cancun Airport to Playa Mujeres: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cancun.
How much does Shared Transportation From Cancun Airport to Playa Mujeres cost?
+
Prices start at $14 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cancun usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Shared Transportation From Cancun Airport to Playa Mujeres take?
+
Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cancun is not rushed.
Is Shared Transportation From Cancun Airport to Playa Mujeres worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 48 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 24 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cancun, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Shared Transportation From Cancun Airport to Playa Mujeres?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Shared Transportation From Cancun Airport to Playa Mujeres suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Shared Transportation From Cancun Airport to Playa Mujeres?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cancun can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cancun and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Shared Transportation From Cancun Airport to Playa Mujeres start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cancun within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cancun?
+
On Outty we rank every Cancun experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Early Access to Chichen Itza All Inclusive with Valladolid and Cenote Swim, Whale Shark Tour from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Riviera Maya, Small-Group 3 Hidden Cenotes Adventure with Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cancun?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cancun?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
