This was a great trip! We upgraded to the platinum package. It was well worth it. Nicer catamaran, less people, more alcohol, wonderful buffet on the beach

    So not worth it

Tour booked with Funtastic Adventures. Started the day by being contacted by tour guide 30 minutes prior to pick up time telling us to meet at a different location NOW!! Tour was sold as all inclusive food and drinks on the boat and at the “beach club.” However, it was only all inclusive for an hour and a half. After that you had to buy everything. You also have to rent beach chairs or sit in the sand. The buffet was awful. My chicken taco included skin and bones. Thank God there was some edible salad and room temp pasta with watered down sauce. I could not detect any alcohol in any beverage. The bathroom offered complementary buckets of water to flush the toilets. The “beach club “ was just an overcrowded sliver of beach. We could have stayed at our resort and had more room with beach chairs, food and drink provided all day. The only reason I gave this a 2 is the natural beauty of the water and the ride on the boat. Snorkeling consisted of being handed a mask and shouted at to hurry up and get in the water and swim as fast as you can to the pick up spot. Snorkeling area was overcrowded with other boats making the water too choppy to enjoy.

Great way to spend the day!

Amazing trip! The views are breathtaking, the boat crew was fun and energetic, snorkeling was great, lunch was delicious, the open bar was a plus, and having time to explore Isla Mujeres gave us an opportunity to see another part of Mexico. It was a great deal for the price too! We highly recommend it!

    Nice trip and Great Staff/Service

The trip is okay, I think the trip is overrated for the price we pay per person. We had a boat ride to isla mujeres, 25 minutes snorkel, which both were nice, then had a small assorted food plate as a small lunch along with an open bar (which was ok nothing too good) then swam for 30 minutes in the ocean which we enjoyed and had 3 hours to explored the island by ourselves which the island itself doesn’t have much to offer unless you pay 500-800 pesos for 1-2hrs for the golf cart rental to go to the south part of the island. I think for the price we pay its just too much for the above mentioned activities. Just a thought it didn’t satisfy what we payed for. But then KUDOS to the customer service/ transportation/logistics department as we left a pair of black sandals that they were able to drop it off at the hotel before going to the airport. I appreciate the customer service and logistics team KUDOS to the team. The overall experience was still good just those few comments they have to improve.

    Buyer b warned

We booked through Nexus tours. Do not buy this. The Island is beautiful and worth visiting but this was not a snorkeling experience, it was hurry up jump in, hurry swim between all the other anchored boats and passing boats, hurry, hurry, keep up and we are back to the boat. Crazy! Also, how the excursion on the island is presented as if it’s w us or not at all and you’ll b bored otherwise. The audacity to go person to person collecting a tip. No thanks

Response from the operator: Thank you for your review, and we apologize for any aspects of the experience that didn’t meet your expectations. We value your input and are committed to improvement. Snorkeling Adventure at Isla Mujeres Includes Lunch and Open Bar: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tulum.

How much does Snorkeling Adventure at Isla Mujeres Includes Lunch and Open Bar cost?

    +

Prices start at $39 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tulum usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Snorkeling Adventure at Isla Mujeres Includes Lunch and Open Bar take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tulum is not rushed.

Is Snorkeling Adventure at Isla Mujeres Includes Lunch and Open Bar worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 37 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tulum, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Snorkeling Adventure at Isla Mujeres Includes Lunch and Open Bar?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Snorkeling Adventure at Isla Mujeres Includes Lunch and Open Bar suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Snorkeling Adventure at Isla Mujeres Includes Lunch and Open Bar?

    +

Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tulum can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tulum and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Snorkeling Adventure at Isla Mujeres Includes Lunch and Open Bar start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tulum within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tulum?

    +

On Outty we rank every Tulum experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tulum Ruins, Turtles in Akumal and Cenote tour, Tulum Guided Tour, Magical Cenote, Lagoon Snorkeling and Beachside Lunch, Chichén Itzá, Cenote and Valladolid with Lunch and transportation. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tulum?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tulum?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
