Great overview of North Macedonia and Kosovo

This 2 day tour of North Macedonia and Kosovo was perfect for the limited days I had to explore the region. Ramadan was a great guide and driver, making the transitions from one place to another go smoothly. The stops were all terrific with Lake Ohrid and Prizren being my personal favorite. If you have more than two days available, definitely consider staying more time in these cities, but if you are limited in time, this tour would be a good option to get a taste of North Macedonia and Kosovo.

    Balkan adventure

A great opportunity to experience 2 countries that are not tourist hotspots….but WOW they should be. The natural beauty, history and culture were amazing! Giulio was fantastic, not only because of his perfect English and wealth of knowledge but also because he had a real “care factor” wanting to do his best to make the trip as memorable as possible. I thoroughly recommend the trip….and Giulio

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your wonderful review. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed discovering Kosovo and North Macedonia — two destinations that truly deserve more attention for their natural beauty, history, and culture. We are especially pleased to hear such kind words about Giulio. He is an excellent guide, and it means a lot to us that his dedication and care made your trip memorable. Thank you again for recommending the tour. It was a pleasure having you with us, and we hope to welcome you back to explore more of the Balkans.

    Many hours of road

The logistics of the trip are very well organized and the guide was good, but it is too many hours on the road. We spent more time on the road than in the cities we met. Don’t come in November, we did practically the whole tour in the rain and also because of the rain the road time became longer.

Response from the operator: Thank you sincerely for sharing your experience with us. We are pleased to know that you found our guide and the overall organization of the tour to be of high quality — this is something we take great pride in, and we truly appreciate your recognition. We are very sorry that the weather conditions during your travel dates impacted your experience. The entire region was affected by continuous rainfall and a passing storm that week, which unfortunately is beyond anyone’s control. We fully understand how this can make travel times feel longer and less comfortable. Regarding the driving distances, this particular itinerary covers multiple cities across two different countries within just two days. It is designed for travelers who wish to see as much as possible in a short amount of time, but it does involve considerable time on the road. We always encourage guests to consider this when choosing such an intensive multi-country tour. Your feedback is extremely valuable, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future — hopefully under clearer skies and with more time to enjoy each destination. Thank you once again, and we wish you wonderful travels ahead.

A great way to see two countries which hard to get to.

It is a great way to see North Macedonia and Kosovo in two days, as they are not easy distinctions to go, especially if you are tight for both time and money. The town and Lake Ohrid are awesome. Skopje also has interesting stories. We learnt extraordinary stories about Mother Teresa. Another highlight is the ancient town of Prizren, a real jewel. Our guide Skerdie is great, which helped us to understand the places, the people, and the history. Overall, it was a very memorable trip.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your review we appreciate your feedback and wish to see you again in Albania 🇦🇱

Semi- Private Kosovo & North Macedonia from Tirana in 2 days: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tirana.

How much does Semi- Private Kosovo & North Macedonia from Tirana in 2 days cost?

    +

Prices start at $473 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tirana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Semi- Private Kosovo & North Macedonia from Tirana in 2 days take?

    +

Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tirana is not rushed.

Is Semi- Private Kosovo & North Macedonia from Tirana in 2 days worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tirana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Semi- Private Kosovo & North Macedonia from Tirana in 2 days?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Semi- Private Kosovo & North Macedonia from Tirana in 2 days suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 48-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Semi- Private Kosovo & North Macedonia from Tirana in 2 days?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tirana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tirana and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Semi- Private Kosovo & North Macedonia from Tirana in 2 days start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tirana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tirana?

    +

On Outty we rank every Tirana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include From Tirana- Hiking Tour to Bovilla Lake & Gamti Mountain, From Tirana / Durres: Gamti Mountain and Bovilla lake Day Trip, Kruja castle, the old Bazaar & Sarisalltik- Departure from Tirana. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tirana?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tirana?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
