What you'll see and do
Salzburger Altstadt
The route leads through the lively Linzer Gasse to the Salzach River, over the "Staatsbrücke" along the river to Mozart Square. Now being in the Old Town, we visit all the important and famous sights, such as the Old Market Square, University Square, Hofstallgasse, as well as the Cathedral Square and Kapitel Square. Many of these sights you will recognize from Sound of Music. Gaining a little height we will hassle-free climb the "Mönchsberg", one of the city's mountains, passing by Hohensalzburg Fortress. On the mountain we will glide to the most beautiful viewpoints: The "Richterhöhe" and the Museum of Modern Art, where the city's 1,000 rooftops lie at our feet. After the mountain, we traverse medieval alleys and cycle along the Salzach River to our final stop and photo finish, Castle Mirabell and it's Gardens, before returning to our starting point.

One of the best I have been on.
Sophia was the best. Haven been on many segway tours in many countries, this was one of the most enjoyable. She has a super fun personality and added fun anecdotes like how much a mansion on the river was for sale. The scenery was beautiful and we got to see some amazing homes up close. Highly recommend this tour.

A whole lot of fun!
A great experience with a terrific guide. We managed to see a great deal in the time we were on the tour. BTW, those Segways can really move!!

Very professional, fun, entertaining - TOP!
An awesome experience! Demian was an extremely helpful, attentive, and funny guide. He made many stops and not only explained the professional operation of the Segway to us AND made absolutely sure that everyone had it under control before we started, but also knew how to tell us a lot about the history of Salzburg. An absolutely entertaining and recommendable trip that we will remember for a long time. THANK YOU!

Good Segway and Good sightseeing
great sightseeing segway tour but dont expect historical briefings. Harolds rider training was good but maybe it would be marinally improved if he reminded riders that "I am this wide!" as my first segway trainer emphasised. Minor point only in all an excellent tour.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Salzburg.
How much does Segway Tours Salzburg City Mountain and Castle Tour cost?

How long does Segway Tours Salzburg City Mountain and Castle Tour take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Salzburg is not rushed.
Is Segway Tours Salzburg City Mountain and Castle Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Salzburg, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Is Segway Tours Salzburg City Mountain and Castle Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Segway Tours Salzburg City Mountain and Castle Tour?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Salzburg can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Salzburg and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Segway Tours Salzburg City Mountain and Castle Tour start and how do I get there?
+

What are the best things to do in Salzburg?
+

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Salzburg?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Salzburg?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
