    Fantastic Reef Dive

As a beginner scuba diver, I had the pleasure to dive at Maroma Beach on 2 separate occasions in 2025. Each time, my dive master was ‘Mau’ (not sure on the spelling 🤪). Mau, Captain Eddy, and Gustavo provided top-notch service and support each time! Check out their’Paradise’ dive. It’s a stunning coral reef full of sea life! Looking forward to diving with them again:)

Response from the operator: Thank you for your amazing review! We’re delighted to hear that you had a fantastic reef dive experience not one but twice, we love that the staff made your experience fantastic, we truly appreciate your revie. We hope to see you soon for the third adventure!

Best dive experience with outstanding service!

I want to give a huge vote of approval to this dive center and to dive master Amauri Zermeño ! I have done numerous dives in Mexico with different operators over the last six years, and this dive center is the best by a wide margin. Went on two of the best dives of my life here yesterday. One deep dive to the Archos, and a shallow dive to Paradise. Their service was outstanding… Amauri and crew were constantly asking you, if you needed anything - water, cokes whatever on the boat. They also set up your dive gear so it’s ready to go when you get on the boat.. Just a first class experience!

Response from the operator: Hi Roger! Thank you for sharing your experience with us, we are glad to hear you enjoyed it. We hope to see you soon to enjoy more of Maroma Beach again.

    Excellent diving!

I did 4 two-tank day dives. The staff and dive masters (Evan and Moe) were excellent. They set up the equipment and did a great job showing highlights during our dives. They have good rental equipment, and a nice big boat with a roof to protect you from the sun and a sturdy ladder to climb after your dive. Thanks for helping make some wonderful memories!

Response from the operator: Hello Steffan! Thank you for sharing your experience with us, we are glad to hear you enjoyed it. We hope to see you soon to enjoy more of Maroma Beach again.

Don’t expect anything after your survey

Scuba scammed us. They had us sit at a table for an hour after scuba and ignored our plea for some type of service. We sat at a table with food splattered all over it for 30 mins before I went to get a towel and clean it off. Then I had to go get the scuba guys to tell the restaurant to please give my kids some food. With 8 mins left before we had to leave they brought out one plate of chips for 6 people. Scuba was fine but don't tell me we get food after if we are not. So most iur time was spent driving in the van and at a dirty table staring at each other.

Scuba Referral Dives & Beach Club with Transportation In Riviera Maya: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Playa del Carmen.

How much does Scuba Referral Dives & Beach Club with Transportation In Riviera Maya cost?

    +

Prices start at $300 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Playa del Carmen usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Scuba Referral Dives & Beach Club with Transportation In Riviera Maya take?

    +

Plan for about 0.8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Playa del Carmen is not rushed.

Is Scuba Referral Dives & Beach Club with Transportation In Riviera Maya worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 34 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Playa del Carmen, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Scuba Referral Dives & Beach Club with Transportation In Riviera Maya?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Scuba Referral Dives & Beach Club with Transportation In Riviera Maya suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 0.8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Scuba Referral Dives & Beach Club with Transportation In Riviera Maya?

    +

Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Playa del Carmen can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Playa del Carmen and add a light layer if any part of the 0.8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Scuba Referral Dives & Beach Club with Transportation In Riviera Maya start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Playa del Carmen within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Playa del Carmen?

    +

On Outty we rank every Playa del Carmen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include VIP Chichen Itza Private Tour, VIP Tulum Private Tour, Chichen Itza Private Tour VIP. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Playa del Carmen?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Playa del Carmen?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
