    Great dive with Mike!

Fantastic experience! Mike was our dive instructor and he did a great job with us (2 parents) and our 13 yr old son and 12 yr daughter. He also went above and beyond to assist our daughter in carrying the dive gear, for which we were very appreciative. This seems to me to be an ideal experience for a 1st timer. Mike explained the science of diving in a way we all understood and then we had a good amount of time in the water. This first dive isn’t deep so also seemed like a very safe way to get an intro to scuba.

Response from the operator: Thanks for you review! We will always do whatever it takes to make our guest experience as easy safe and fun as possible. Thanks for the shout out for Mike he is fantastic! As is all of our staff. For 25 years I only only hire the best and always will. Let's do it again when you return! Aloha Ty and our entire In2Scuba Diving Maui staff.

    Great first scuba dive

Super awesome experience! I did the intro dive with my sister, and we liked it so much we did the shark turtle wreck dive the next day. Neither of us had done any scuba diving beforehand, but Austin made it so easy to learn the basics, and we felt totally safe with him. We spent about 15 minutes talking on dry land about what to expect, followed by 15 minutes in the shallow ocean to practice some of the core skills. After that, we went straight into the dive, and it lasted as long as our tanks still had air in them! The dive itself was great. There were so many cool fish to look at, and we saw multiple turtles at each site. Austin was constantly on the lookout for interesting creatures and pointed them out to us as he spotted them. The intro dive went to about 15-20 feet, and the wreck dive probably went to 25-30 feet. I also want to shout out Ty for being super on top of the booking process leading up to the dive. He was very communicative and flexible with us, given that we were trying to schedule around some bad weather. All in all, would highly recommend for anyone who wants to try scuba diving without having to go through the full certification process!

Response from the operator: Hey, Thanks soo much for your review. We get so many people that just want to try out scuba with our Intro dive. Then when they see how easy it is they add on the shark turtle Wreck dive. We want everyone to leave us feeling that we provided the best activity they could have done on Maui And with a lot of help from all the sea creatures that are part of our team LOL. It was a pleasure working with you as well. Hope to see you again and thanks for the shout out for Austin, he is truly a great instructor, as all our team is. Aloha Ty

Austin is an amazing diving instructor

Austin from in2scuba was the instructor for my grandchildren's first time scuba diving and he was fabulous. Great person, very knowledgeable, terrific instructor. They had a wonderful time.

Great shore dive with calm, experienced dive instructor.

Great experience with Austin! We did a shore dive from Kaanapali beach. Easy to get to and Austin was great, he was very calm clear and guided us through a terrific dive exploring the reef. Would definitely recommend!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your review! We believe in a calm relaxed patient scuba training. Austin is a prime example as you said. Hope to see you again soon! Aloha Ty

    Excellent dive experience

We were beyond happy with our dives! Ty went above and beyond to work us in, and Austin is possibly the best divemaster I’ve had the pleasure of diving with! I was finally able to take my 4 kids and brother on their first dives, and Austin was amazing with them all! If you want to dive Maui, give Austin and Ty a call!

Response from the operator: Thanks for your review Jeff! Austin is a fantastic instructor I appreciated you shouting out for him. All our instructors are top notch so proud of our crew. See ya next time. Aloha Ty

Scuba For Beginners No Experience Needed Swimming Ability A Must: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Maui.

How much does Scuba For Beginners No Experience Needed Swimming Ability A Must cost?

    +

Prices start at $198 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Maui usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Scuba For Beginners No Experience Needed Swimming Ability A Must take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Maui is not rushed.

Is Scuba For Beginners No Experience Needed Swimming Ability A Must worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 264 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Maui, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Scuba For Beginners No Experience Needed Swimming Ability A Must?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Scuba For Beginners No Experience Needed Swimming Ability A Must suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Scuba For Beginners No Experience Needed Swimming Ability A Must?

    +

Around 92 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Maui can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Maui and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Scuba For Beginners No Experience Needed Swimming Ability A Must start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Maui within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Maui?

    +

Maui's three signature days are the Hana road, the Haleakala summit sunrise and the Molokini snorkel sail, and all three are logistics problems as much as experiences. Sunrise summit entry is permit-controlled, Hana is a ten-hour driving day, and Molokini boats vary wildly in size. Our ranking rewards operators who handle permits and keep boat capacity low. On Outty we rank every Maui experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Molokini Crater + South Maui Coast Adventure from Kihei, Maui, Maui: VIP Private Road to Hana Tour with Pick Up, Road to Hana Adventure Maui Tour with Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Maui?

    +

April to May and September to October. Whale season runs December to April. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Maui?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
