Incredible cave snorkeling

We had the tour van for ourselves and our guide was amazing, we visited the three cenotes, Gran Cenote, then an open one level with the jungle and then a subterranean one. Amazing experience discovering all the underwater caverns. The food was awesome too.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful review! We're so happy to hear you enjoyed your private cenote adventure and had such a great experience exploring these incredible natural wonders. We truly appreciate you choosing us and hope to welcome you back for another unforgettable day in the Riviera Maya!

3 Cenotes & Local Tacos

Elihu and Carlos were amazing! We wanted to try some local tacos along with the cenotes and they rearranged the tour to accommodate our requests. Highly recommend- private tour was the perfect duration giving us enough time to explore the cenotes at our pace, eat some local food and return to the resort to enjoy the rest of our day.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind review! We’re delighted to hear Elihu and Carlos helped create an experience that felt personalized and enjoyable for you. We truly appreciate your recommendation and are so glad you were able to make the most of your day. We hope to welcome you again soon!

Best Guide ever!!

I’ve done a lot of tours and Jorge from Carey Tours is simply the best guide I’ve ever had, full stop. His geological knowledge alone was worth the trip — he explained the different stalactites vs. stalagmites, which formations were still growing, which were calcified tree roots, how slowly they form over centuries. But he also read the room perfectly: he pointed out a rock we could jump from, introduced us to a mineral-rich sand that was great for our skin, and made sure we were always comfortable and doing exactly what we wanted. Oh, and he ended the day at a local street taco spot that alone might have been the best thing I ate in Mexico. Could not have been better.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your amazing review! We’re truly grateful for your kind words and so happy to hear Jorge made the experience so memorable and personal for you. It means a lot to know the day exceeded your expectations, and we hope to welcome you back for another unforgettable adventure in the future!

Highlight of Our Tulum Trip — Ask for Limbert!

We had an amazing experience on the **Private Tour: The Best Cenotes in Tulum Riviera Maya**—honestly one of the highlights of our trip! Carey Tours organized pick up from the hotel and we did not have to meet at a meet-up spot. And the day before our tour, they reached out and confirmed pick-up location and time. On the day of our tour, our guide, Limbert, was fantastic from start to finish. He picked us up directly from our hotel, which made everything super easy and stress-free. From the moment we met him, he was friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about the area. Throughout the tour, Limbert stayed with us and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. He shared interesting insights about each cenote, we visited 3 cenotes, helped us feel comfortable, and never made us feel rushed. He also took all our photos for us which I was so thankful for! You can tell he genuinely cares about giving his guests a great experience. The cenotes themselves were absolutely stunning—crystal clear water, peaceful surroundings, and each one had its own unique vibe. Having a private tour made it even more special since we could enjoy everything at our own pace. If you’re visiting Tulum, I highly recommend booking this tour—and if you can, ask for Limbert. He truly made the day unforgettable! 10/10 experience!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re truly happy to hear everything felt smooth and special from start to finish, and that Limbert made such a great impact on your experience. We really appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you again for another unforgettable day!

Private Tour The Best Cenotes in Tulum Riviera Maya: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Playa del Carmen.

How much does Private Tour The Best Cenotes in Tulum Riviera Maya cost?

+

Prices start at $155 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Playa del Carmen usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Tour The Best Cenotes in Tulum Riviera Maya take?

+

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Playa del Carmen is not rushed.

Is Private Tour The Best Cenotes in Tulum Riviera Maya worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 91 out of 100, which we label "90+ Club". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 405 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Playa del Carmen, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tour The Best Cenotes in Tulum Riviera Maya?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Tour The Best Cenotes in Tulum Riviera Maya suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 10. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 6-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Private Tour The Best Cenotes in Tulum Riviera Maya?

+

Around 142 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Playa del Carmen can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Playa del Carmen and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Tour The Best Cenotes in Tulum Riviera Maya start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Playa del Carmen within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Playa del Carmen?

+

On Outty we rank every Playa del Carmen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include VIP Chichen Itza Private Tour, VIP Tulum Private Tour, Chichen Itza Private Tour VIP. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Playa del Carmen?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Playa del Carmen?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
