    Excellent Professional Tour Guide

Dr.Edwin HASSID & Barbara HASSID were very pleased with our tour guide Hugo. Much of the day was spent in Sintra— we loved the Moor Castle but the rest of the sites were extremely over crowded. We enjoyed a lovely lunch in Sintra and spent the rest of the tour on a beautiful ride along the coast stopping at various beaches & towns. Very professional friendly driver — very knowledgeable of the history of Portugal which we really enjoyed & appreciated. I wish we had hired Hugo for our trip to Porto!! We will definitely hire hire when we return to Lisbon.

Response from the operator: Hi, Thank you so much for your words, it means a lot to us. Best regards, Knight Riders Tourism

Highly Recommend! Fantastic private tours catered to our needs, for multiple locations in Portugal

We actually did three days of private tours with Knight Riders Tourism: one day private tour of Lisbon, one day in Oporto, and one day in Sintra and Caiscais. I was traveling with my two elderly parents (over 80) and wanted private tours so that we could travel comfortably and adjust to my parent's energy levels, and get us as close to all the sights as possible. Our guide was Hugo, and not only was he great in explaining all the history and significant sights that we saw, he was also a great driver and drove us as close to the many sights as possible, as well as facilitating our getting ahead in the queues to avoid my father having to wait in long lines. It was an amazing experience, and we were able to see much more and more comfortably than had we done it with a larger group or by ourselves. Well worth it!! Thank you Knight Riders Tourism and thank you Hugo!!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words, it means a lot to us. Have a wonderful day and please come back to visit us.

    Perfect day in Sintra

My mother and I (age 75 and 50) had an incredible day trip with Arthur. He picked us up right on time from our hotel. He was friendly, spoke perfect English, and made sure to accommodate all of our needs and interests. Our first stop was the Moorish Castle, which we loved being able to explore before all of the crowds arrived. We truly had the place to ourselves and were able to get some amazing pictures. Although some waiting was unavoidable at the other attractions due to crowds, he went out of his way to make the process as comfortable and efficient as possible. My favorite site was the regaleira initiation well. Although this was the one destination he was unable to enter with us, he gave us clear directions. He was flexible with our itinerary, allowing time for us to look around in the nearby shops before returning to the vehicle to head back to Lisbon. It was an amazing day in every way and a highlight of our vacation. Do not hesitate to book this tour as it is worth every pernny!

Response from the operator: Thank you for your words. Please come back to revisit us. Regards.

Hugo was a fantastic tour guide

We were travelling as a group of 6 friends. Hugo was our day long guide, he did a fabulous job and is very, very nice and informative. He also drove us down the coastline of Portugal, which was absolutely gorgeous. Included a delightful lunch, grilled fish was delish as was the wine!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your words. It was a wonderful day. Stay safe. Regards.

Private Tour: Discover the best of Sintra in 1 day avoiding queues: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.

How much does Private Tour: Discover the best of Sintra in 1 day avoiding queues cost?

    +

Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Tour: Discover the best of Sintra in 1 day avoiding queues take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.

Is Private Tour: Discover the best of Sintra in 1 day avoiding queues worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tour: Discover the best of Sintra in 1 day avoiding queues?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Tour: Discover the best of Sintra in 1 day avoiding queues suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Tour: Discover the best of Sintra in 1 day avoiding queues?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Tour: Discover the best of Sintra in 1 day avoiding queues start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Lisbon?

    +

On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lisbon?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lisbon?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
