    Beyond Disappointing.

We signed up for this tour as it stated it was 3 hours and included private transportation. We specifically wanted the private transportation due to some physical limitations. Our guide showed up 25 minutes late, no transportation, and only gave us a 2 hour tour. Our guide also had no information on the city. He was very nice but did not know anything about the buildings or sites or any fun facts about the city as others provide. In fact he was googling things as we were going. I could have done that and saved the $492 I paid for this tour. The day after this tour we had a different tour with another company who explained we should have had the car and also noted all of the places we should have seen on the tour. It was maddening to learn we didn’t even see key sites and fun hidden gems. I use Viator all the time and have never had this experience.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We genuinely regret that your experience did not meet your expectations, and we would like to clarify a few important points to ensure accuracy and transparency. First, regarding private transportation: The tour you booked is designed primarily as a guided city walking tour. Any mention of pickup refers to hotel pickup only when accommodation is located outside the city center, which is clearly stated in the tour description on Viator. A private vehicle is not a guaranteed or standard component of this tour. At no point prior to or during the tour were we informed of any medical or mobility limitations. Had this been communicated in advance or even during the tour, we would have gladly adjusted the experience or arranged transportation to ensure your comfort. Regarding the tour duration: The total tour time includes meeting, orientation, and guided sightseeing. While timing can vary slightly due to city conditions such as traffic and pedestrian flow, the service was delivered within the acceptable operational timeframe. No request to end the tour early was raised with the guide. Concerning the guide and content: Your guide is licensed, professional, and well-reviewed. Feedback about information style is subjective, and unfortunately, no concerns were communicated during the tour itself, which removed any opportunity for us to correct or improve the experience in real time. We are sorry to hear that you compared this experience to another tour booked with a different company the following day. Each operator offers different formats and inclusions, and comparisons do not necessarily reflect a failure in service delivery. Finally, regarding the refund request: As the tour was delivered according to the confirmed description and completed in full, we were unable to approve a partial refund. We regret that this decision caused frustration, but it was made in line with Viator’s policies and our booking terms. We value all guest feedback and continuously strive to improve our services. However, we respectfully disagree with several statements in your message, as they do not accurately reflect the agreed tour inclusions or the circumstances on the day of service. Thank you for your understanding. Kind regards, Booking & Operations Manager Emo Tours Swiss

    Emo Tours Swiss…Great!

Karim was our guide, and he was polite, attentive, friendly, respectful and very knowledgeable. We learned all about the historical downtown area, and had fun in the process! I would recommend him and his company highly, and would do it again!

Is Private Sightseeing Tour in Zurich worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Zurich, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Sightseeing Tour in Zurich?

    +

Is Private Sightseeing Tour in Zurich suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Sightseeing Tour in Zurich?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Zurich can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Zurich and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Sightseeing Tour in Zurich start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Zurich within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Zurich?

    +

On Outty we rank every Zurich experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Zurich Food Tour with 10 Local Delicacies, Cheeses & Chocolates, Private, excellent guided tour of Zurich (from CHF 21/pers.), Zürich Historic District Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Zurich?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Zurich?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
