Andiamo! – Let’s go! We will continue the tour visiting the Circus Maximus where you’ll enjoy the view of the Palatine Hill. We will stop for a nice lunch in a typical Roman Trattoria. After this recreational break you will visit St. Peter Square and the Gianicolo, The “eight Hill” of Rome. Around 4:00 p.m. we will be ready to go back to the Port.

The name in modern Italian literally means "People's Square", but historically it derives from the poplars (populus in Latin, pioppo in Italian) after which the church of Santa Maria del Popolo, in the northeast corner of the piazza, takes its name.
