Fantastic tour, guide, and driver!
We arranged to be picked up from our ship at the termination of our cruise then spent the entire day touring all the must-see spots in Rome. The whole experience was wonderful. Luigi picked us up at the port then picked Sara up in the city where she expertly guided us all around the ancient city. Our bags stayed in the car with the driver all day while we got out and toured the various sites so we had nothing to worry about with them. The crowds were bad in some places, but Luigi navigated the traffic and Sara led us through it all. We went to the colosseum, circus maximus, the Spanish steps, Trevi fountain and the Pantheon with pauses in between to get gelato and see some shops. Then she took us to a lovely local restaurant she knew where we had a fantastic lunch before touring the Vatican museums and St. Peters square and basilica. It was a long and wonderful day, then Luigi drove us to our Rome hotel and dropped us off there. For a huge, crowded place like Rome, the personal touch was priceless. If you can get there, I 100% recommend it!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind word! I hope to guide you again maybe in the future! Take care, Sara :)

Rome and St Peters Basilica Private tour from cruise port
Wonderful day tour with Rome Tour Guide. Small tour company that is knowledgeable about the history of the tour subjects and able to answer all questions. Rome and Vatican are huge places to tour in a day. We were able to accomplish seeing a great overview of everything we wanted to see. The tour was amazingly organized by both the driver and guide. I would recommend this service to anyone wanting to travel to this area in Italy.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! It has been a real pleasure working with you! See you next year girls!

Fantastic tour of Rome
My husband and I traveled to Rome in May and met with Sara for a private tour. It began with a great ride from Civitavecchia port with her friend, Luisa, who also pointed out some great sights along the way. We met with Sara shortly after we checked into our hotel, Le Grand Minerve, which she recommended and it could not have been a better location. We were just steps away from the Pantheon and could walk to many nearby sights including Trevi Fountain and the Jewish Ghetto. We had great restaurants, gelato shops and amazing shopping nearby so we were grateful for her advice. Sara's knowledge of Italy and Roman History was truly incredible, she took us to the coliseum, the Vatican and St. Peter's Basilica giving us plenty of time to take in the sights, ask questions, and just enjoy the beauty of this city, Viva Roma! Thanks to our great location, we meandered through narrow cobblestone streets that seemed to have surprises on each corner, one day we were walking by and watched a young woman rolling and cutting fresh pasta sheets out into long ribbons of fettucine. Needless to say, we had succulent pasta and fresh meats most nights and of course, the gelato! Sara recommended a great place near Trevi Fountain that was truly outstanding! I highly recommend taking a private tour with Sara, she will open your eyes to a beautiful worldview of Rome where you really won't want to leave!

Rome with a Trusted Tour Guide
Ezio picked us up at the Civitavecchia port and drove us in a Mercedes van, party of 8, including our grandchildren. Ezio is everything you would want in a tour guide and driver, We felt safe in our travels, trusting him to navigate through the narrow streets, and congested traffic in Rome. He was kind, humble, joyous, knowledgable and great with smaller kids. He pointed out all of the historical attractions and entertained us with great stories of old! He claims he is not a tour guide, and offered one to accompany us, but we are glad we relied on him. He was perfect for the job. You will enjoy his self-deprecating humor and his attention to your comfort. Feel confident in his picking you up as agreed, seeing the best of Rome and dropping you off in time at the cruise port, He is reliable, honest and fun. We all highly recommend him and will call him again on our return. Tim Sellers

Why this scores 52

Private Shore Excursion from Civitavecchia port: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lake Bracciano.
How much does Private Shore Excursion from Civitavecchia port cost?
+
Prices start at $700 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lake Bracciano usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Shore Excursion from Civitavecchia port take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lake Bracciano is not rushed.
Is Private Shore Excursion from Civitavecchia port worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lake Bracciano, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Shore Excursion from Civitavecchia port?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Shore Excursion from Civitavecchia port suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Shore Excursion from Civitavecchia port?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lake Bracciano can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lake Bracciano and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Shore Excursion from Civitavecchia port start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lake Bracciano within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lake Bracciano?
+
On Outty we rank every Lake Bracciano experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Civitavecchia Shore Excursion: Best of Rome Private Tour, Food Tasty and History Tour in Civitavecchia, VIP Tour of Rome (3/5/8hrs) Colosseum & Vatican Museums. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lake Bracciano?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lake Bracciano?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
