Una experiencia inolvidable
We set up a private tour through Cusco and adjoining regions based on a recommendation from a friend. From the start of communication with Aita Peru, we were extremely impressed. Cordial, nice, informative, and patient are all words to describe the initial interaction & experience. We were able to set up our own itinerary and it was perfect. Ider is so knowledgeable, engaging and supremely proud of his heritage. If you’re lucky enough to have him as your guide you will not be disappointed. I cannot recommend going through Aita Peru enough. Hilaria will take care of your every need and work through any obstacle if you have any concerns. También hablan Español - Si están preocupados.

Great
AITA PERU, I had John Borda as a personal tour guide for me and for my kids only. Although I am bilingual (Peruvian and Spanish is my native language), mi kids only speak English, and he was ready to accommodate to that challenge. John has a passionate and charismatic personality, he was always respectful, professional and empathetic to our challenges and needs. His knowledge is extensive at multiple levels and I recommend him to any English Speaker as their personal tour guide. Thank you John!

The worst experience in Peru
The tour was awful! Let's start with the fact that we were promised to be together with our friend who already booked the tour with this agency and decided to join. We went to the office and spoke to a person who assured us that we will be together in this tour. Well on the day of tour we weren't together not only in the van, but in the whole trip. Basically they put us in two different groups. In the morning we left quite late for some reason, nobody explained why or even gave us the heads-up that we will be late. Also, they promised us a bilingual speaking tour guide (as we don't speak Spanish), we'll it wasn't really bilingual. The whole time was only Spanish was spoken. From time to time she will pull us on a side and say a few words in English. Afyer going up the mountain and going down with the tousands of people, we had to wait in the van for hood 10-15 min and after that in the restaurant for another 20 min until we had our lunch. The tour was disorganized from start to the end. If you want to enjoy the Rainbow Mountain, save yourself the nerves and mo ey and find better agency to do the tour with. This one is an absolute waste of time and money.

Deeply grateful to our tour guides from Aita Peru
We arrived in Cusco late in the afternoon and we had not bought a single tour. However, we wanted to see everything- rainbow mountain, sacred valley, ollentaytambo, Machu Picchu. We chanced upon Ilaria on the evening of our arrival and she made it all possible! The next 3 days were just spectacular as they made it possible to see and experience everything. Our guides Ether and Edith were both very knowledgeable! We were very impressed. They were also very kind, courteous and mindful of our safety. Aita Peru even surprised me with a cake on my birthday during one of our stops for lunch. I highly recommend them to anyone wanting to see Cusco. Thank you, Aita! And Thank you, Ilaria, Ether and Edith!

Why this scores 57
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Rainbow mountain ; 1 day tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.
How much does Private Rainbow mountain ; 1 day tour cost?
+
Prices start at $129 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Rainbow mountain ; 1 day tour take?
+
Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.
Is Private Rainbow mountain ; 1 day tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Rainbow mountain ; 1 day tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Rainbow mountain ; 1 day tour suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 11. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 9-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Private Rainbow mountain ; 1 day tour?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Rainbow mountain ; 1 day tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cusco?
+
On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Full-Day Humantay Lake Trek (Meals Included), Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cusco?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cusco?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Private Rainbow mountain ; 1 day tour?
+
Included: fees; Lunch; Breakfast; Professional and bilingual tour guide; and Bus or Mini van round trip. Not included: There is a chanse to rent horse to ride. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
Does Private Rainbow mountain ; 1 day tour include hotel pickup?
+
Yes, pickup is offered for every traveler from 51 listed pickup locations in and around Cusco. Be ready about 10 minutes before the start time. You can also enter a custom pickup address when booking.
What languages is Private Rainbow mountain ; 1 day tour offered in?
+
It is offered in English and Spanish. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.
Will I get instant confirmation and a mobile ticket for Private Rainbow mountain ; 1 day tour?
+
Confirmation is sent by the operator after booking, usually within 48 hours; if it is not confirmed you are not charged. Mobile tickets are accepted, so you can show the voucher on your phone.
Is Private Rainbow mountain ; 1 day tour wheelchair or stroller accessible?
+
The operator notes: Not recommended for pregnant travelers. If accessibility is critical, contact the operator after booking to confirm arrangements for your date.
